Hey guys!

There seems to be a little confusion and misinformation around the pigeon culls we do so I'm going to address this and answer the questions.

WHAT PIGEONS ARE WE SHOOTING?
The pigeons we shoot are feral rock pigeons, also known as rock doves or their Latin name Columba Livia. These are not our native wood pigeon or Kereru as they are also called.

ARE WE SHOOTING KERERU?
No. Shooting Kereru is unethical, needless and highly illegal. We do not stand for such behavior at Possum Problems and will not and do not participate in this kind of thing.

ARE WE SHOOTING PET BIRDS?
Again, no. We do not target domestic pigeons (Racing, Homing, Fancy etc). - We call these banded birds and will always do our best to avoid shooting them, if by mistake a banded bird is shot during a feral bird cull (unlikely, but can happen) then we take the right steps to contact its owner and let them know.

We are always looking for new clients for both trapping and night time shooting. No number is too big or small, we're interested in them all!

We are currently in search of clients primarily in need of possum and/or rabbit removal, we are still doing pigeon culls as well but not as frequently.

All our services are and will remain free

Result of a feral pigeon cull we just done for a client - free of course.

We will return for a follow up population reduction should the numbers persist as always.

11 of the 13 birds spotted were successfully shot.

We are in search of anyone with a pigeon problem (non native rock pigeons).

If anyone local has an issue with pigeons nesting in their sheds and making a mess let us know! We can dispatch the birds and remove the nests as well.

All birds removed and dispatched will be taken away and disposed of by us.

*WE CAN IDENTIFY ACCESS POINTS AND INSTRUCT ON HOW TO COMBAT FURTHER ISSUES, WE DO NOT DO REPAIR WORK HOWEVER, ONLY THE ERADICATION AND IDENTIFICATION.

We also eradicate rabbits, possums, hares and magpie by request. Every job we do is species specific, we only target what the client wants gone.

Remember to be safe out there guys. Check your line of fire and always know where your hunting party is. And remember, if in doubt, take the bullet out.
