The 2026 FOMA Economic Forum will bring together influential leaders from across the Māori economy to discuss governance, strategy, innovation and long-term economic growth.

This annual national gathering hosted by the Federation of Māori Authorities is an important opportunity to connect, share whakaaro, explore future opportunities, and be part of the conversations helping shape the future of the Māori economy.

If you’re involved in governance, iwi development, business, investment, economic strategy, or Māori enterprise, this is a forum worth being part of.

Every four years, the world's leading researchers, practitioners, and policymakers in w**d biocontrol gather in one place. Last month, that place was Aotearoa, New Zealand, and HPCE Aotearoa was proud to bring it to life!

Held in Rotorua, this was more than just a conference. It was a space for connection, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas that helped drive real progress.

We’re proud to have played a role in delivering an event that truly mattered.

At HPCE Aotearoa, we’re proud to work alongside clients who are not just delivering events, but creating movements.

In 2025, BOP Plumbing & Gas Ltd led by Sarah Jamieson, launched the inaugural Te Ara Wāhine, an event born from courage, vision, and a commitment to change.

Because the trades are evolving… and wāhine are leading the way.

From apprentices to business owners, project managers to leaders — women across Aotearoa are stepping confidently into industries once seen as “a man’s world”, reshaping them for the future.

Te Ara Wāhine is more than an event. It’s a space for connection, inspiration, and real kōrero. A place where stories are shared, networks are built, and the next generation is encouraged to step forward boldly.

And we’re doing it all again.

Te Ara Wāhine 2026 is now open.

Join us this October in Rotorua for an unforgettable experience designed to empower, connect and celebrate wāhine in the trades.

A global community. A shared purpose.

The XVII International Symposium on Biological Control of Weeds recently brought researchers and practitioners from around the world to Rotorua for a week of meaningful connection, knowledge exchange, and collaboration.

Seamless delivery, strong engagement, and a distinctly Aotearoa welcome made this one to remember.
Planning something similar? We’d love to help bring it to life!

This International Women’s Day, the theme reminds us that progress happens when we actively invest in one another.

For our team at HPCE Aotearoa and Wild Apricot, this means giving time, support, mentorship, flexibility, and encouragement so everyone has the opportunity to thrive. When we lift each other up, we create stronger teams, better workplaces, and more inclusive communities.

We asked our team what means to them, and their reflections are a reminder that the small ways we support each other every day can have a lasting impact.

Because when we give opportunities, trust, and support, we all gain.

At HPCE Aotearoa, we know great events don’t start on event day; they begin well before, with clear intention, strong relationships, and a shared sense of purpose.

When we’re involved early, there’s space to think strategically, build trust, and create the foundations for an event to run seamlessly. Guided by whanaungatanga, manaakitanga, and mahi tahi, our work is about more than logistics, it’s about genuine partnership and experiences that reflect shared values.

We support iwi, not-for-profits, associations, corporates, and community organisations, whether enhancing established events or helping shape new ideas from the ground up.

Early engagement enables us to design gatherings that are purposeful, well-organised, and culturally grounded, ranging from conferences and hui to celebrations and new concepts.

If you’re planning an event or exploring what’s possible, get in touch with our team. We’d love to connect!

A few kind words from , one of our exceptional catering partners. Grace & Graze consistently elevate our events with their stunning presentation, tantalising flavours, and effortless professionalism.

Our guests at a recent event were raving, many saying the food was a true standout of the day. A partnership we value deeply, and one we’re excited to continue!

What an incredible day at Huihuinga Wāhine 2025. HPCE Aotearoa was proud to support this powerful annual summit this month, bringing together female Māori leaders from across the motu for a day of inspiration, connection, and shared ambition.

With speakers free to korero on what ignites their passion, this event delivered real impact: practical insights, uplifting stories and the kind of networking that empowers wāhine to lead with confidence.

A huge thank you to the Federation of Maori Authorities (FOMA) for partnering with us, and everyone who made this year’s summit such a success. We’re honoured to have been part of it!

Our first-ever three-day event created for wāhine in trade and construction was something truly special: a gathering of women ready to back themselves, grow their businesses, and step into their next chapter with confidence.

These wāhine have spent years supporting others’ dreams. This event was about investing in their own. It also marked a milestone for the industry, the first gathering of its kind, built to empower wāhine as leaders, business owners, and change-makers.

The momentum hasn’t stopped. Collaboration, connection, and plans for future events are already underway. We’re proud to share the full story of how this event came to life, what we learned, and where it’s heading next. Read the full case study here: https://www.hpce.co.nz/te-ara-wahine

Last week, our team completed our second Cultural Capability workshop with the team at Mather Solutions, and we’re absolutely loving the journey!

Each session deepens our understanding of te ao Māori, the Māori worldview, and helps us build stronger, more inclusive connections in the way we work and engage.

A huge thank you to the Mather Solutions team for guiding us with such warmth and knowledge. We’re proud to be growing together, one kōrero at a time.
