All the Parais out to dinner with our nephew & cousin Israel before he heads back to Melbourne apopo. Great to have him home with us for awhile. Aways good to see all the cousins laughing and and mocking each other and anyone else.

With my cousin Porky one of the most talented footballers to come out of the Pa, first five / full back, pouched by the Wellington club during their hay day when they had 7-10 ab's & Wellington players in their team. With the impending retirement of their fist five Porky was spotted playing for Porirua, they played Petone in one of the most fiercely contested Jubilee Cup games to be played at Petone rec.

Toe to toe throughout the game locked in a draw until the dying minute from near the sideline between halfway & the 22, Porky let's rip with a left footed drop goal that sails high between the sticks to take the win.

I remember Porky telling after this game Graham Williams walks up to him saying - ' your lucky you came to us ay?...Porky replied your lucky you asked me to ay". He was a gentleman, reliable and his word was his bond.
