Social Impact Assessment β Auld Creek Project
As part of the permit application for the proposed Auld Creek project, Rua Gold has commissioned an independent Social Impact Assessment (SIA).
EMM Consulting, a specialist advisor are responsible for developing an independent SIA for project which will be provided as part of our permit application. emmconsulting.com.au
We have asked EMM to prepare this study to make sure we fully understand the potential social impacts and/or benefits of our project and have considered this from the perspective of the Reefton community.
EMM are keen to engage with stakeholders to contribute to their understanding and are happy to interview you as part of their study. Please note any participation in an interview is voluntary and will be treated as confidential.
The interview / conversation will be conducted either in person at our Broadway office or via phone by EMM's Social Impact Assessment specialist, Chris Allder. Chris will be in Reefton on the 16th and 17th June.

FAQs
When? EMM interviews are being conducted on 16 and 17 June in Reefton
How? Register your interest via [email protected] or 09 886 9861 please include your contact details, your interest in the project and any day or time preference.
Where? In person at the Rua Broadway office. We can also hold the interview on the phone or via virtual meeting if that suits you better.
What can I say? Anything β this is your opportunity to share your thoughts about the Project.
What if I have already shared my thoughts? This is an additional opportunity to share your thoughts individually and independently in a confidential way.
EMM will draw on feedback from these surveys as well as other sources such as Ruaβs previous consultation with the community, businesses, neighbours and other stakeholders.
Will I be identified in the assessment or report?
No. EMM will not identify you. Your interview will be combined with multiple other perspectives to evidence the impacts to individuals and the community. If several organisations with similar interests are open to interview a group interview may be held β if this is not something you would wish to participate in or there is information you wish only to share privately, that is perfectly OK too.
