🐗 The old trap is still doing the job!

Sometimes you don’t need fancy gear — just a well-built trap that keeps on working. 💪

must have removed 20 pigs on this property now, and the old trap is still proving its worth.

Effective pest control is about persistence, the right setup, and keeping on top of the problem before the damage gets out of hand.

Another win for Mrtpestcontrol! 🎯🐗

😂 I asked ChatGPT to make me a demonstration of the Kimbo Rolling Knife Sharpener using my photos…

Turns out ChatGPT clearly has no idea how the bloody thing actually works! 🤣

So before anyone follows my AI demonstration and ruins a perfectly good knife, please check the actual Kimbo instructions.

The real method is pretty simple: attach the knife to the magnetic holder, choose the 15° or 20° angle, then roll the sharpener along the blade. Kimbo says it’s designed for straight-edged knives, including hunting knives.

And having actually used it… this thing is brilliant! 🔪🔥

My knives have never been easier to get properly sharp.

So, lesson learned — ChatGPT is pretty handy, but sometimes you still need to read the instructions! 😂

🐗 HELP Mrtpestcontrol TAKE PEST CONTROL TO THE NEXT LEVEL 🦌

Mrtpestcontrol is a pest-control operation based in the Nelson/Tasman region, focused on helping protect farmland, native plantings and the environment from damaging pest animals.

I’m raising funds through Givealittle to purchase a thermal drone or other technology that will make pest control more effective, safer and more efficient — particularly when locating and monitoring pests over larger areas.

Every dollar raised will go towards equipment that can be put to practical use in the field.

I’m not asking for handouts — I’m asking for support to help turn a passion for pest control into an even more capable operation.

If you can help, even with a small donation, it would be hugely appreciated.

🙏 Please donate if you can, and share this post with anyone who might support the cause.

Together we can do more to protect our farms, native plantings and the environment.

Help MrTpestcontrol buy a thermal drone to boost volunteer pest control and protect farms, native wildlife and the environment.

Tonight’s Job 🐗
A good-sized boar tonight, getting way too close for comfort to the client’s new native planting — only planted last month! 🌱
Good timing to get him sorted before he did some serious damage. Another pest dealt with and another native planting protected. 💪🌿

Wanted: one pig with a serious apple addiction. 🍎
He's been robbing the trap like it's an all-you-can-eat buffet. Another apple gone... another lesson in who's really running this operation! 🐗😂

Pigs keep coming..

Caught the pig in the trap today! He escaped the night before, so I reset the trap and honestly thought I wouldn’t see him again. Turns out he couldn’t resist the persimmons on offer and came back for another feed. Persistence paid off!
