1. Tell me about the Pikdrobox:

Pikdrobox seeks to free shoppers from the burden of waiting around for parcels at home. No more missing work just for a parcel that doesn't arrive on time. If the wrong item has been delivered, Pikdrobox can be used to return the item. Simply make the arrangements with a

courier or our subscription service for the parcel to be returned and leave it in the pikdrobox.

2. Pikdrobox is a lockable parcel holder that can be installed anywhere around the home. It is a transforming lockable large steel box that can be accessed by various users to allow parcels to be left and collected. When empty the box folds flat like a doormat that ensures it is not obtrusive to homeowners. It automatically assembles for deliveries.

3. How is this different from me leaving a box outside? Pikdrobox is a steel structure that locks, is water resistant and can be accessed only by selected parties. It also folds flat when not in use. A box isn't secure, water resistant and doesn't stop unauthorised persons from gaining access to its contents.

4. I get my parcels at the office. How does this benefit me? Getting your parcels delivered at the office is not only unprofessional but most employers don't appreciate becoming a post office. Not to mention, the privacy issues surrounding this. Having a Pikdrobox allows the separation of home and work as well as the benefit of having groceries as well as parcels and returns at your doorstep. That way when you get home the items are all there, safe, and waiting for you.


5. How does it work? When you purchase a Pikdrobox, we will ship a unit directly to your address. The installation takes less than 5 minutes, most of which is the selection of where it is to be installed. A key code is supplied with the unit and should be given to the delivery companies when purchasing an item online. The courier will then activate and place the item in the unit when the item is to be delivered. When you are ready to collect the parcel, the unit can be accessed with the key or code supplied. Simply push on the lid to flatten the box and await your next delivery. Want to return an item? Contact your courier or use our subscription service. Leave the parcel in the box and that's it.

6. Why should I get one? Save time waiting around for parcels. Return unwanted items. Get your groceries delivered, and get more time for the things that are really important.

7. Can multiple items get delivered? Yes, the codes supplied can be used for multiple deliveries.

8. How is it installed? The unit is installed using a special adhesive. It takes less than 5 minutes to install and is quick, easy and doesn't require any tools.

9. Is it removable? The unit can be removed with a heat gun and simple scraper.

10. What is the outside made of? The outside is made of flexible fabric and the internals are steel, this prevents parcel theft.

11. Is it waterproof? The unit is water resistant and will keep items dry from normal weather elements.

12. Is there a subscription fee? No fees are needed once the item is purchased. A subscription is only needed if the parcel return service is being used from Pikdrobox. Alternatively, parcel returns can be done from couriers but the cost per return will be directly to the user.

13. Is there any maintenance required? Basic occasional maintenance is needed such as cleaning the surface, and changing batteries when required approximately once every 2 years

14. Does it need power installed? The unit is battery powered and no external power is needed.

15. Does it have a lock? Yes

16. How does the lock work? The lock is a digital lock that uses a combination of radio frequency and digital keypad to allow for access with a smart device or by manually entering a code.

17. When will it be available / when will I receive it? Pikdrobox deliveries will commence in October for the early birds. Deliveries will be ongoing after this.

18. Can it hold my HelloFresh box / how big is this? Yes, it can hold HelloFresh boxes and most medium sized items. Refer to the online pictures on the website for reference.

19. How do I return Items? Items can be returned simply by contacting a courier to collect the parcel from Pikdrobox, and leaving the item. Alternatively, you can sign up for our subscription returns service after your Pikdrobox is delivered.

20. What stops the box from being stolen? Our adhesive fastening system ensures that the unit is secured.

21. How do couriers use it? Couriers are provided a delivery code on the shipping invoice. The courier simply activates the unit, enters the code, opens the lid and drops off the item. To collect an item the same procedure applies to gain access to the parcel to be returned.

22. How do couriers benefit from this? It seems like more work. By allowing pickup and drop off services for couriers, the increased parcel activity ensures that couriers actually profit more from a route. e.g. instead of dropping off one parcel in an area, the courier can drop off one parcel and collect 3 in the same area. i.e. a total of 4 parcel movements for the same route. It is one of our aims to reduce the carbon footprint of parcels by merging parcel drop offs and returns. This also ensures that courier services reduce their fuel costs per parcel, whilst benefiting contracted couriers by increasing route parcel transaction rates.
