It is a difficult time to choose accounting software at the moment. Xero has advantages in being easy to setup, learn and use and your accountant will love being able to log in and see your data. MYOB also has online solutions and is generally cheaper and has more features (eg Inventory or Payroll) but takes longer to install, setup and learn. There are many factors to consider including the type and number of transactions that you have and whether you need to record sales and purchases or if you just need to do cash accounting. There are pros and cons with both MYOB and Xero so take the time to see which is likely to be best for your business - what is best for one business won't necessarily be best for another. I can provide free advice to help with your decision if you need it.
