Hi South Canterbury, at Cutting Edge we do all types of contract work including landscaping, here we are landscaping a new build. We work closely with the customer through the design process to deliver a cost effective job with the best outcome for your desires.
Here we have run drain coil around the perimeter to prevent run off in undesirable areas onto neighouring properties as per council regulations.
We have terraced and laid w**d mat and driveway chip, set in a clothes line, then scraped to contour where lawn will be and laid top soil. Finishing by planting dwarf conifers.

Hi Timaru, its been a interesting last few months, lots of work on, been enjoying doing a few bigger projects with alot of smaller jobs in between.
Here I was doing some arborist work, reshaping the tree and cutting branches away from the house and neighbours driveway, rigging down quite a few of the branches so as not to damage fences and shrubs. More jobs to come next week.

Just finished up a sweet new fence using macrocarpa and colour steel! I used a water proofing membrane on the in-ground part of the posts to protect from rot and give longevity. 🤩 It looks amazing and I'm stoked with how it turned out. It's always satisfying to see a project like this come to life. 🙌 The macrocarpa adds such a natural warmth, and the colour steel gives it that modern edge. Think the owners will be relaxing by this fence all weekend!

Hi all, here we have a full section tidy up of the customers trees, in which I removed the cabbage tree and silver birch tree that was leaning over the neighbours garage and fencing.
There was also an old tree that had damaged the garden shed (customers insurance was paying for a new one) I removed.
The two large sycamore trees had grown over the fence and neighbours garage by 6 meters!
I chipped the waste for the customer to spread for w**d suppression.

I love spring, I'm glad those Nor Westers have backed off though!!!.
Getting to work in some beautiful yards is 1 of the perks of my business, as well as the sence of accomplishment in a job well done (that also goes for yards that are in need of alot of work!).

Hi all, just thought id put this up.....felled 2 chestnut trees and a silver birch as usual 2 of the three trees had the weight on the wrong side which made for a slighly difficuilt job but not a problem for me😉. Reduced the photinia (customer wasnt worried if it doesn't survive), chipped the branch waste on the three trees and cut bigger stuff into firewood.

Just thought I'd put this job up from last week, thinned, reduced, pruned and chipped the waste of 10 oak trees, there was quite alot of wind damage but I managed to maintain the shape fairly well on each and they came up pretty good for a first prune. The first 4 pics are before I started and the rest are during and after pics.
