There’s nothing more infuriating than a rouge smoke alarm. I found (yet another one) this week in a DOOM box, not on the ceiling, so it’s time to figure out why they’re cracking up on us!

Here’s some culprits triggering your alarm:
- 🌬️ Dust
- 💨 Humid, warm air (even having the dryer going will do it!)
- 🦟 Insects and bugs can trigger this princess. (Mood)
-👩‍🎤 Hairspray, aerosols, good old fashioned Lynx Africa. IYKYK.

So… change the batteries if she’s going off like the 47th leader of a particular nation, and if you have no luck then give it a vaccuum!

Share this with someone who needs to put their smoke alarm back up on the ceiling and save this for next time yours goes off for no reason!

.nz saving our sanity again! I’ve seen variations of this storage unit and I’m really glad Kmart have picked up on the need for plushie storage that-

A: Doesn’t take up a whole lot of floor space
B: Let’s kids see what they have. Out of sight out of mind is such a common problem!
C: Is easy to access and easy to put away. Let’s make tidy up time less overwhelming. 🙌🏼

Use these three elements in your home organisation and thank me later 🥲

I’m serious- I see the same mistakes repeated day after day. This is why your organisation isn’t staying tidy or manageable.

1. Function before aesthetics. Make sure it matches your use, your habits, your brain. Easy to put away and easy to get out. Keep it simple before making it pretty.

2. Don’t overstock. 80% full is the sweet spot to not feeling too empty, but still having a little bit of space for functionality and more items to come in.

3. Priority things in priority spaces.
1- daily use (easy, fast access)
2- occasional use (bend, stretch, open a door)
3- infrequent use- (Further away)

I’m stumped! Pooped maybe. My client wants to donate this rather fancy cat litter… contraption, however we can’t figure out its charging component. Here’s the photo- I’m going to assume it’s a rechargeable battery. Can anyone give me an idea of what I need to look for to replace this? 😺🐈🐈‍⬛ The kitty’s at SPCA or a local cat rescue spot will be so pleased!

The Nest is empty. 🥺 Do you have baby items taking up space in your home that you don’t have the time and energy to declutter? Get me over- let’s clear it out and fill up The Nest’s reserves so they can keep our pēpi warm this winter. They’re also desperate for cots at the moment too.

Homes are messy, even when you have systems. In saying that- less stuff is certainly easier to manage on the days you do manage to tidy up.

Can’t ’tidy up’ or declutter? Do this instead.

Straighten.
Simple.

Create uniformity, straight lines. Let your eye move past, rather than getting stuck on the chaos of ‘mess’.

Perfect for when you’re low energy or struggling with executive function due to ADHD, Autism or just feeling overwhelmed in your home. ✨
