Congrats to Tōtara Gardenz.

On 27 - 28 March 2026 I attended the 2 Day Hikurangi Wairoa Rural Business Symposium held at Te Huki Marae, Raupunga, supported by Wairoa Business Hub, and Ngati Pahauwera Development Trust and hands-on business workshops.

I had the opportunity to meet Therese Ireland, The Generator National Manager. She asked what business idea I could start. I've had a maara kai all my life, starting from a small square growing lettuce to a larger slice of our property growing kai for whanau.

Totara Gardenz business was created. I would like to thank The Generator Team and my tuakana Teniqua Jones, and Beth Rika for their support so I could achieve my Trial Success Steps to make my journey possible.
