For this Weekend .......
The Art of Foraging experiential workshop
Inspired by growing roots to the land, Mamakan's botanical art studio has moved inside the New Zealand bush. She is inviting you for the first ever seasonal walk of sensory storytelling held on the land of Titirangi Rudolf Steiner School. During the walk, you will use your senses to see, smell, touch and taste native plants.
Mamakan is hosting two walks this weekend on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th of October 2020 at 10am-1pm. Join this guided bush walk and immerse yourself with sensorial storytelling inspired by ancient wisdom, wonder and wellbeing. What does a fern frond taste like? How good is the flavour of a native bush kombucha? And would you want to wear an indigenous perfume?
Each walk takes about 3 hours, and includes tastings of foraged food and drinks. Adults and children from 6 years and up are welcome. Please bring sensible hiking boots or gumboots. Fee: 75$ for School Parents (95$ Public fee for Adults) and 25$ for School Students (35$ Public fee for Children).
Spaces are limited and first-come-first-serve bookings essential by emailing Mamakan at [email protected] or messaging 0272209107 with your name, phone number and the day you’d like to take part.
