For schools, every dollar saved on power is a dollar that can be invested back into students, teachers, facilities, and learning opportunities.

Solar isn't just an investment in clean energy, it's an investment in our schools and communities.

We’re putting solar panels on up to 500 schools to help lower power bills.

On average, that will be $8,000 a year saved for schools, so they can put that money back into teaching our kids brilliantly.

Last week we welcomed our newest team member, Brooke, to the crew! 👏

It won’t be long before Brooke is a full SketchUp pro. We’re excited to have her on board and can’t wait to see her grow with the team.

And if you haven’t been to Curbside yet… now’s the time! 🥯

Throwback to last weeks Electrify event where we were treated with a range of new and innovative electric vehicle solutions. 🛥️🏍️

From motorbikes and boats to electric vans and almost everything in between, we were spoiled for choice.

Part of our vision for the future is to have an entirely electric powered fleet. We are close to this goal with roughly 75% of the current fleet being powered by electricity. With so many options for work and play now being powered by batteries and in many cases the sun, 🔋☀️ the future of transport is looking bright!

Proud to have been part of Electrify Queenstown, with our Director opening up his Arthur’s Point home for a guided tour focused on energy performance and resilience. ⚡🏡

It was a great opportunity to showcase how solar panels, battery storage, and smart energy systems work together to deliver reliable energy and greater control over household power use.

Seeing the community so engaged in learning about sustainable living and energy independence was incredibly rewarding. The future of smarter, more resilient homes in New Zealand is exciting. 🌱

Happy World Bee Day from Think Solar Group! ☀️🐝

Today, we took some time to learn more about the important role bees play in protecting Aotearoa’s ecosystems, and of course… no celebration would be complete without crumpets covered in honey! 🍯

While many native species quietly support our biodiversity, introduced invasive wasps pose a serious threat to both our ecosystems and honey bees. They compete for food sources, raid hives, and impact native wildlife, including precious bird species like the hihi (stitchbird).

As part of our World Bee Day celebrations, we explored:
🐝 The importance of bees and pollinators in NZ
🌿 How invasive wasps affect native ecosystems
🍯 Simple ways we can help protect bees and biodiversity at home

At Think Solar Group, sustainability is about more than energy – it’s about supporting a healthier environment for future generations in every way we can.

Going solar is a smart investment and it’s more accessible than ever ☀️

At Electrify Queenstown, Patrick Gower spoke about looking into a green loan to potentially help finance his future solar system.

It’s never been easier for Kiwis to invest in lower power bills, greater energy independence, and a more sustainable future.

Some banks are even offering low-interest or interest-free lending for sustainable upgrades like solar and battery storage ⚡

At Think Solar, we believe there’s a huge opportunity in creating clear pathways for workers transitioning from fossil fuels into the electrification industry.

The real question is: how do we ensure the shift from diesel to electrification creates opportunities for the people who have powered our industries for decades?

We had a chat with Mike Casey, CEO of Rewiring Aotearoa about how the skills developed in diesel, mechanical, transport, and energy sectors are highly transferable to solar, batteries, EV infrastructure, and electrical technologies. ⚡

Today we caught up with Patrick Gower at Electrify Queenstown ⚡️

Paddy shared how even he’s thinking more about solar and what the future of energy looks like for New Zealanders.

The conversation around solar is shifting and energy independence has become a mainstream topic outside the industry.

So the real question is… do you think about solar for at least one minute a day like Paddy does? 👀
