Daffodil Day 🌼

Every year, BNZ gets behind Daffodil Day to help raise funds for the Cancer Society and support New Zealanders affected by cancer.

Our team joined in today with a classic Kiwi morning tea, pikelets with jam and cream! 😋

A great excuse to get the team together while supporting an even greater cause.

As part of Summit 2026, our crew split into 12 teams and hit the streets of Christchurch for the Think Solar Amazing Race taking on challenges, solving clues and racing their way around the city.

One of the challenges? Create a human formation spelling out 'THINK SOLAR'

☀️ Think Solar Summit 2026

Once a year, we bring all six of our branches together in one place in the South Island for something pretty special, our annual Summit.

It’s a chance to step away from the day-to-day, connect, share ideas, learn from each other, and celebrate what we’ve achieved together over the past year.

With teams spread across the country, getting everyone under one roof is a reminder that while we may work from different locations, we’re all part of one team.

Summit 2026 was about recognising the wins, strengthening the connections between our people, and looking ahead to what we can achieve next.

A big thank you to everyone in our team who helped make another Summit one to remember. ☀️🙌

🚨 Attention Tesla Powerwall owners

If you've opened your Tesla app recently, you may have noticed a few changes.

The interface now includes more descriptive labels and explanations throughout the Energy section, making it a little easier to identify what different settings do.

The biggest change for Powerwall owners? Time-Based Control is now called Savings.

Functionally, Tesla still describes this mode as using your electricity tariff and your home's energy usage to optimise when your Powerwall charges and discharges to help reduce energy costs.

If you're looking for Time-Based Control and can't find it anymore, just look for Savings instead.

A big milestone for solar in New Zealand! ☀️🇳🇿

New Zealand has officially surpassed 1 gigawatt of installed solar, a huge achievement that shows just how quickly solar is becoming part of our energy future.

Recently we've seen rapid growth as more homeowners, farmers, and businesses choose to generate their own electricity, reduce power bills, and gain greater energy independence. More rooftop solar has been installed in the past three years than in the previous decade combined.

Momentum is only building. As more Kiwis discover the benefits of solar, we're excited to see what the next decade brings.
