The workers in the field are frustrated either driving, working with clients, or out of range and can’t make the meeting. The admin staff feel undervalued in the office needing information to get stuff done but they’re not given priority. The leadership team are talking to the stakeholders but not the team and feel disillusioned about productivity. Does anyone feel like they’re rowing the boat in the same direction? Some people see ‘comms people’ as pushing contrived messages, full of unrelatable management speak, that nobody reads. Inconsistent messages create confusion, that’s if there is any information flow at all.

I have firsthand experience in environments where knowledge was not shared, people’s ideas were not heard, the left-hand didn’t know what the right-hand was doing, and people disengaged.

It doesn’t have to be like that. We can create great workplaces together.
