Randwick

Best Roughie

Race 3 #5 Tequila Bay

Tequila Bay produced a good performance last start despite covering ground over 1100m.

Importantly, that run came back on a drier surface, which looks to be a key factor with this horse. There was also a month between runs, giving further merit to the effort.

Randwick is expected to provide another Good surface on Saturday and Tequila Bay gets conditions that should allow her to produce her best.

At around $21, Tequila Bay is well worth including at a big price.Sandown

Best Value

Race 6 #3 Blind Raise

Blind Raise looks to have returned in very good order this preparation after producing a sharp jump-out victory ahead of his first-up assignment.

His fresh form also reads particularly well, having returned last preparation with an impressive victory at Sandown.

Everything points towards another strong performance fresh and he looks ready to fire

Next Best Value

Race 4 #15 Savoyard

Savoyard produced an encouraging return over 1100m when ridden quietly before hitting the line strongly late.

The rise to 1300m looks ideal second-up, while the good barrier should allow him to settle closer rather than conceding as much ground.

With the benefit of that fresh run and a more suitable setup, he gets his chance to take another step forward

Devonport

Race 3 – #4 Bella Chinkara

Bella Chinkara gets a couple of important changes that can make the difference here.

The key jockey switch is a major positive, while the barrier should allow her to settle much closer to the speed and avoid giving her main rivals too much of a head start.

She gets the opportunity to turn the tables on City Wok and looks well placed to do exactly that.

Race 6 #8 Alkira

Alkira had virtually everything go wrong on debut, so there was plenty more merit in the performance than the result suggests.

She gets a significant jockey change for her second start and now has the opportunity to show what she's capable of with a clean run

Warwick Farm

Race 4 – #5 Storm Season $8.00

Storm Season looks way over the odds here.

He comes through a red-hot Saturday race where he settled a long way back before flying home late. That form has already received a significant boost, with runner-up Transcend coming out and winning since.

The setup looks much kinder this time around and he shouldn't be giving his rivals anywhere near the same head start.

With the stronger form line and a better map, Storm Season represents excellent value.

Race 5 #11 Queen’s Gamble $2.50

Queen’s Gamble is the one they all have to beat.

She brings the best form into the race and absolutely bolted in last start, putting a big margin on her rivals in a performance that suggested there's still plenty more to come.

There is also a significant jockey change with Tommy Berry coming off and James McDonald taking over, while the map should give her every opportunity.

Another genuine tempo plays right into her hands and gives J-Mac the chance to let her build into the race before producing her finish.

Queen’s Gamble is clearly the horse to beat.

Sandown Hillside

Best Bet: Race 6 #6 Educated

He sits on top of ratings for the BM78 over 1000m.

Best Value:

Race 5 #3 Stop The Rock ($9.00)

value play in the staying event, with Stop The Rock rated on top in the 2400m BM78 and marked as his Best Value Bet Of The Day at $9.

Best Roughie:

Race 7 #6 Best Time

Best Roughie Of The Day in Race 7. He sits fourth in ratings behind Street Lark, Killenaule and Emperor Tzu, but shapes as the bigger-priced runner to keep an eye on.

Sandown

Best Bet

Race 1 #6 Vallice

There look to be three obvious chances in this race — #5, #6 and #8 — and the recent clashes between them provide a good guide.

Judas Tree beat Commit home at Sandown, but Commit produced the better run of the pair.

Commit then finished ahead of Vallice at Caulfield, but again the finishing order doesn't tell the full story. Vallice produced the better performance despite being beaten home.

That puts Vallice firmly on top heading into Saturday.

She should strip fitter for that latest run and the step up to 1400m looks a significant positive.

On the strength of those recent performances and with the more suitable setup this time, Vallice should be clear favourite and looks the one to beat.

Bet of the Day

Race 2 #5 Cruiserweight

Cruiserweight gets another chance after his latest performance where the tactics simply didn't suit.

Two starts ago he was shuffled back in running but still produced an explosive finish to round up his rivals and win.

Last start he was ridden completely differently, settling much closer to the speed, and that run is best forgiven.

The plan to ride him colder this time should allow him to return to his preferred racing pattern and produce that powerful finishing burst.

With the right ride and clear air when it matters, Cruiserweight can bounce straight back.

Best Value Bet

Race 6 #8 No Limitation

No Limitation resumes after producing three trial wins in preparation for her return, including an impressive six-length victory in her latest hit-out.

There is also a strong form reference from last preparation.

She was run down late by key rival She's My Ex when fresh and meets that runner 2.5kg better at the weights this time.

She's clearly returned in good order and the weight swing gives her every opportunity to turn the tables.

At around $9, she looks terrific value.

Randwick

Race 4 – #1 King Of The Sea $2.80

King Of The Sea looks a classy galloper with the ability to work his way
