🐝 When a queen dies, a decision must be made.
Not in panic. Not in fear.
But with purpose.

The hive doesn’t collapse. It adapts.
From a sea of ordinary larvae, a few are chosen. Not because they’re special. But because they could be.

They’re fed something extraordinary: royal jelly—the nectar of transformation.
And that’s where the magic begins.

This isn’t fate. It’s nurture.
One larva, fed with care, becomes what no one expected—a queen.

No matter how many times I’ve been interviewed, my heart still beats fast, palms sweat and my knees become jiggly alittle. I bring everyone that has ever been kind to me with me (thanks Maya) into this space.

There is nothing that I love more than working and being part of something that is focussed on making s**t better. I really enjoy what I do, how I do it and who i do it with. Learning something new around every corner, being put in situations to activate my potential and contributing to positive and improved change.

I read an article a while back that says when someone is struggling, all they often need is 8 minutes with a friend to get back on track. Never underestimate the power of reaching out when you're struggling. I know it's hard and you may feel like you want to disappear. But just a few minutes with a friend could get you back on track and allow the dark shadows to be absorbed by the light that comes from you.

Amazing morning shared with our Ngāti Awa whānau and all our Relations from Mataatua. Today the opening of 15 new whare that are now an available to whānau in the area. Beautiful homes that give working people an opportunity to rent and save for their first home. The services provided by Te Tohu o Te Ora o Ngāti Awa were showcased today in a way that outta make you proud as Māori. The journey from te korenga or te pō into te āo Marama was themed throughout. Loads of goodies and takeaways for the community and lessons given by their skilled team.

Great innovation, community connection and vision being delivered by our people here and lead by the infamous Aunty Enid Ratahi-Pryor. Thank you for your amazing mahi and team.
