👧🏽 STARTING YOUNG — BUILDING CONFIDENCE
Meet our mini trainee, 8-year-old Nathania from St. Mary’s Catholic School, who is currently undertaking a two-week part-time job-training experience with Jimso Logistics & Consultancy Services.

Since Monday, Nathania has been learning through real workplace exposure and serving clients alongside our team.

At Jimso, we believe learning should start early — but every child should also be given the right environment, guidance and encouragement to discover their potential.

A big shout-out to all the St. Therese Catholic Vocational School students currently undertaking their On-the-Job Training (OJT) with us.

2026 Sewing Training – St. Therese Vocational Centre

Building Skills, Confidence and Pathways to Self-Reliance

In 2026, the Skillonomics & Empowerment Program Skillonomics PNG Block Sewing, in collaboration with St. Therese Catholic Vocational Centre, conducted a six-week sewing skills training program for five vocational students.

The training provided participants with practical, hands-on experience in sewing and textile production, giving them an opportunity to strengthen their technical skills while building confidence and exploring pathways toward self-employment, entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods.

The program reflects JLCS’s commitment to connecting education and practical skills with real economic opportunities. Through partnerships such as this, we continue to support young people with skills they can apply beyond the classroom and potentially turn into income-generating activities.

Through the Skillonomics & Empowerment Program Skillonomics PNG Block Sewing we create practical opportunities for people to develop skills, build confidence, connect with others and turn their potential into meaningful opportunities.

From sewing and entrepreneurship to community engagement, leadership, networking and skills development, these moments remind us that real empowerment happens when people are given the opportunity to participate, learn and contribute.

Jimso Logistics and Consultancy Services (JLCS) is committed to creating practical pathways for education, empowerment, entrepreneurship and exchange opportunities that contribute to stronger individuals, families and communities.

Under its flagship community initiative, the Skillonomics & Empowerment Program Skillonomics PNG Block Sewing , JLCS has developed a holistic platform designed to address the social, educational and economic challenges affecting young people, women, girls and men within the community.

Since 2024 St. Therese Vocational Catholic School has sent so far 20+ students for practical skills training 👏 👌

We currently have 5 students who will be around for the next 6 weeks.
