Individuals need a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) if they are earning income, running a business,
employing people, or need to open a business bank account. If your only income is from salary and wages,
then you do not need a TIN. This document is designed to guide you through the process of determining
your obligation to register with the Internal Revenue Commission and completing the registration form.

21ST AUGUST 2021 is GST ​DUE DATE

​We remind you that the deadline of the obligation of filing and paying the Goods and Services Tax (GST) return for the month of June 2021 is on Saturday the 21st August 2021.


TO AVOID PENALTIES,
IRC encourages early Lodgements and payments however, if the due date falls on a weekend then the Lodgements and Payment falls the next working day.
Filing and Paying early on time can save you from penalties.

Bear in mind that providing inaccurate information in the tax return might not be considered as an oversight, but as a voluntary choice, which would represent a violation of your obligations as a taxpayer, and can attract severe penalties including prosecution under section 95 of the GST Act 2003 and/or section 418 of the Criminal Code Act 1974.
