Have you been granted your Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV) and are preparing to move to Australia?

For those who have registered for PEV

The Department of Home Affairs will run their random selection of the PEV ballot soon.

Keep an eye on your selection status in your ImmiAccount as well as the email you used to register in the ballot. The Department of Home Affairs will email Notification of Selection letters to those drawn in the selection process.

Following the selection process, if you have been selected your selection status will change from RECEIVED to SELECTED.

If you have not received an email or your ImmiAccount status is still showing RECEIVED, you have not been drawn in the ballot.

We encourage those randomly selected in the ballot to connect with the PEV Support Service for help finding a job and preparing for life in Australia.

📢 ATTENTION TAXPAYERS & TAX AGENTS

Starting 1 September 2025, the Internal Revenue Commission (IRC) will implement a mandatory counter checklist for all Income Tax Returns and Withholding Tax Remittance lodgements. ✅

This means:
🔹 All submissions will be checked at lodgement before being accepted.
🔹 Only complete returns (with all required documents) will be processed.
🔹 Incomplete submissions will be rejected and may be flagged for risk profiling or even unannounced inspections.

This new process applies to:
📌 Corporate Income Tax (CIT)
📌 Personal Income Tax (PIT)
📌 Small Business Tax (SBT)
📌 Partnership Returns
📌 Withholding Taxes

👉 These checklists are not new requirements — they are existing requirements, now strengthened to ensure accuracy and compliance.
