She did not hesitate but got straight into business after learning.
" I learnt the command " Do not eat the Seed" the first time I attended the Micro Business Skills Training conducted by Jayka Consultancy and Training Services in 2019. The seed is the very first capital you invest to start your business so you do not personally consume all your first and future sales income. After deducting your costs and expenses from your sales income, you bank your profits and personally use your wages allocated from the business towards your needs and wants and savings.
After the training, I immediately started selling fresh fish in Port Moresby so I can earn some money to support my family. I followed this concept and decided to start another business with my fish business profits. I started to sew small, medium and large shopping bags due to demand, as plastic bags are now not allowed to be used by shoppers in the city.
I currently have international customers, especially Asian shop owners at Gordons who buy most of my bags for their customers who shop at their shops.
I am happy to have attended the training as it has now boosted my way of doing business and improved myself and my family's living." Namuna, NCD.
