Every Kina Matters...

For those of us with one paycheck only at this time means some of the things we spend on, will need an assessment.

Those who have business also will assess their spending too on areas that doesn't contribute to the growth of the business.

And those in informal businesses will also take note of their money coming in and money going out.

Such areas that needs attention;

✅️ Saving a Kina in buying lunch rather we bring something at home to hold us til afternoon,
✅️ Save a Kina in haus krai and family contributions,
✅️ Save a Kina in buying processed food over food at markets or backyard vegetable growing,
✅️ Save a Kina in ordering of goods that is not selling out fast over those in demand,
✅️ Save a Kina in running your business at home or online over high cost of rentals renting a shop,
✅️ Entertainment and charity giving too should take into consideration if it's about adding value to you, or might as well skip it at times.

Financial Literacy is still a big problem in our country, and areas of budgeting should be a household talk also for our kids.

Hello olgeta,

For those who messaged me in regards to my attendance to this 2026.

Those who asked;

1. How Can I participate?
2. How can I apply?
3. Who is eligible?
4. Is it self funded?

Let me give a background understanding to answer these questions.

First and foremost you will need to apply.

But , you should have done some small to medium size projects centered around 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

These are worldwide goals, which globally organizations and big giants are working in achieving these goals.

I started my project on Goal #8, Decent Work and Economic Growth as I understand we have high unemployment in the country.

I based my projects on issues to solve goals number 8.

For you to be eligible, you will need to be between 25 to 40 years years and already self started a project that addresses one of the 17 SDGs.

When you send in your interest, one question will be on your project.

Bear in mind you will be competing against other countries too, but when sending your reasons why you're good candidate for such...

Tell your story of how you begin your project in solving one of the 17 goals.

I met candidates that did projects on , trash to treasure, , and many more.

For us graduates, it's a great start to put what we learnt 4 years in university to good use.

There are others as well you can apply.

When you get selected they will decide whether you are in fully funded, partial funding or self sponsored based on your application and the answers you gave.

This trip I will take on goal #8 still as I advocate for .

Invest in a Talent or ...

When I ran the Passion to Paycheck program with students especially graduates, the core objective is "If you cannot find a job, Invent it ".

I talk to students from universities and colleges who has a but is not making use of it.

Passion to Paycheck was developed in finding out your skills and talents and turning it into your own Paycheck.

My last born sister in her 20's took my advice hard and tried her best to deliver what I advocate for.

She's supposed to be in University right now but decided to learn at home, and develop a that can pay her.

She's very good in sewing and I told her that skill can if given the time and dedication to actually earn from it.

She agreed so 2 months ago, I invested in her by placing an order of the Jukky sewing machine and shipped it over.

Currently I am in Lae to see her progress of the investment done...

Well she has already taken on graduation orders for young girls dresses.

She's busy sewing dresses for graduates especially females here in Lae, and did 2 delivery to clients who paid already while I was here.

With her skill she can sew;

It will cover all that I run through with the students and highlight some key areas for you as a in starting off.

So many messages in my inbox on "How to start ?" from scratch their side hustle. So by December I will do 2x accelerator program for Lae and POM.

And it will not cover internet information or what is working in other countries, it will all be and how I started mine from scratch back at home.
