Members of the Confederation of Association of Ilokano, Inc. (CIASI) Reina Mercedes Council – Curva Santor Cluster joined efforts to repaint classrooms at Reina Mercedes National High School(RMNHS) on Monday, June 30, 2025, as part of the school’s ongoing preparations for the upcoming division monitoring.

The initiative was made possible through the support of Barangay Captain Hon. Henry Respicio, who tapped CIASI members to assist in the repainting activity.

“They were not able to come during the Brigada Eskwela Plus since Sunday is their family day,” said Captain Respicio, expressing his continued commitment to support the school.

CIASI volunteers helped repaint selected classrooms using paint previously donated by stakeholders, including the School Parents-Teachers Association (SPTA).

Despite progress, Principal Ma’am Doreen T. Laciste shared that the school is still in need of additional paint donations to complete the remaining rooms.

Captain Respicio assured that assistance will continue, stating that volunteers will return this Saturday and Sunday to help finish the repainting tasks.

REINA MERCEDES, Isabela — Parents, students, teachers, and members of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) of Reina Mercedes National High School (RMNHS) conducted its second school-wide clean-up drive thru Brigada Eskwela Plus, Sunday, June 29, 2025.

Armed with brooms, dustpans, paintbrushes, and trash bins, participants were grouped and assigned to classrooms, hallways, gardens, and hard-to-reach corners often overlooked.

“It was exhausting but fulfilling, knowing that we can now learn comfortably in a clean environment,” said Airish Gail L. Labbuanan, a Grade 10 student.

The activity aimed to promote cleanliness, environmental responsibility, and community cooperation within and around the school.

Participants worked together to sweep, paint, collect trash, and properly sort waste materials, reinforcing the school’s commitment to sustainability.

The school emphasized that the success of Brigada Eskwela Plus would not have been possible without the active support and presence of parents headed by the School Parents-Teachers Association President, Maria Teresa Cureg-Sardon and the ever-supportive Brgy Captain of Cutog Pequeño, Hon. Bienvenido Parallag.

This initiative reflects RMNHS’s ongoing mission to foster discipline, shared responsibility, and bayanihan spirit among learners and stakeholders.
