Finally, the 52 Inspiring Portraits Project has began! And for the start of this project, this week I am looking for a STUDENT whose portrait I will photograph for FREE.

If you are a student with an inspiring story related to being a student, or might know someone whose journey as a student is worth telling, send me a brief essay telling your or your friend's story. I will choose the most inspiring narrative and the chosen one will be the recipient of the inspiring portrait of the week. Entrants should comply with the following:

1. Should be an enrolled student for this school year (primary, secondary, college, vocational/technical, post graduate).
2. Should be willing to have their photos taken.
3. For primary and secondary level students, a parent's consent must be written and parents should be present during the photo shoot.
4. Must allow to have their photos posted in The Mako Asuela Photography page and other related sites.

Deadline of entries will be on August 26, 2013. Chosen entry will be notified via Facebook message. Recipient will get a number of free digital copies of his/her portraits (watermarked). A chosen photo will be posted on my page along with the inspiring story.

Photoshoot and digital copies are for free. Cost of transportation, accomodation, food or any other expenses needed, if required, will be shouldered by both parties based on the agreed sharing proportions.

This is it! I’ll be working on a photography project and I’ll need your help on this. In return, you or someone you know will get a chance to have a portrait session with me… for free!

The project is called “52 Inspiring Portraits.” Each week (or every other week, depending on my availability) I will be posting in my personal and photography fan page a status of a person (e.g. teacher, doctor, mother) needed for the project. If you believe you are that person or knew someone to be that person, write me stating your (or someone you know) inspiring story in relation to the status required. I will pick the most inspiring story and will arrange for a photo portrait session. The inspiring portrait for the week will be posted in my fan page along with the story. Digital copies will be given for free to the chosen entry.

So, if you are interested and believe that your story is inspiring, visit my profile and page every week. Who knows, the next inspiring portrait could be yours.

So, business and busyness has taken it's toll on me that my true passion for photography (aside from making money) is drifting away. So starting some time soon, I'll be working on a project that would give my Facebook friends and followers/likers a chance to get FREE portrait session/s. I'm still working on the terms but you will sure like this. Stay tuned.
