Panginbulahan, mga bag-o nga Registered Fisheries Professionals!

Kasimanwa and Co Inc. congratulates its students during the Knowledge Enrichment Sessions for Fisheries Professionals for passing the 2024 Fisheries Professional Licensure Examination, held last October 2024.

The FPLE has a national passing rate of 66.60% according to the Philippine Regulatory Commission, Kasimanwa is proud to have 71% passing rate for all our students this batch.

In Kasimanwa and Co Inc., we take pride in our newly registered fisheries professional who were a part of our Knowledge Enrichment Sessions for the past months. It is our vision that these RFPs will fulfill their sworn duties to serve the fisheries sector, in all ways possible.

We would also like to thank all our resource persons who had been a part of this journey.

🌊 Dr. Mary Grace C. Sedanza is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Aquaculture, College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS). She is currently the Coordinator for External Linkages of CFOS and the Director of the UP Visayas Regional Research Center.

Meet your speakers this Sunday!

🍃 Edrose Jane Hilaus is a registered fisheries professional who works as a Technical Assistant under the Technology and Verification Extension Department of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center – Aquaculture Department in Tigbauan, Iloilo. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Fisheries degree from the University of the Philippines Visayas in 2022 and passed the FPLE in October of the same year. Currently, she is working under the Shrimp Broodstock Facility and is part of the manpower development (ManDev) program of SEAFDEC/AQD.

🍃 Joseph Keith Paulo T. Nava is a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries graduate from the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, University of the Philippines Visayas, in 2022 and was a DOST- SEI Merit Scholar from 2018-2022. In the same year, he took the Fisheries Professional Licensure examinations while working and ranked 8th, garnering an 84.25% rating at the said board exams. He has varying professional experience on research projects revolving around molecular biology & biotechnology, and the bivalve aquaculture. Currently, he works as a Technical Assistant at the Fish Health Section, Research Division of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center/Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC/AQD), in Tigbauan, Iloilo, Philippines, under the Government of Japan-funded project tackling emerging and unknown diseases of crustaceans and finfish in Southeast Asia. He is also a co-author of two publications in aquatic disease pathology and probiotics in international journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.

🌊 Joan Tabaquirao is a Technical Assistant at the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center/Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC/AQD) under the Technology and Verification Extension Division.

🌊 Dennis Daniel is a Project Assistant under the Cultural Mapping of Panay and Guimaras Project in UPV.

🌊 Robert Christian Patani is currently a Science Research Specialist 1 at Capiz State University - Pontevedra Campus. He placed 7th during the FPLE 2022.
