WORKING DURING THE APRIL 2026 HOLIDAYS? HERE’S A GUIDE TO YOUR HOLIDAY PAY
Employees who will report to work during the April 2026 holidays may be entitled to double pay or additional holiday pay, depending on the classification of the day and the number of hours worked, in accordance with DOLE guidelines.
📌 Regular Holidays
April 2 – Maundy Thursday
April 3 – Good Friday
April 9 – Araw ng Kagitingan
✔ Employees who do not report to work are entitled to 100% of their daily wage, provided they meet the qualifying conditions.
✔ Employees who report to work are entitled to 200% of their regular daily wage.
✔ Overtime work on these days must be compensated accordingly.
📌 Special Non-Working Day
April 4 – Black Saturday
✔ Employees who report to work may receive 130% to 150% of their daily wage, depending on the applicable pay rules.
✔ Overtime work is subject to an additional 30% premium based on the holiday rate.
