The Saint Louis University (SLU) Human Resource Department (HRD) conducted a learning session on โ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ช๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ญ๐, ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ซ ๐๐ฑ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง๐๐ (๐๐), ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐๐ฑ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐โ on 26 June 2026, held in two batches, at the Fr. Theophile Verbist Hall, SLU Sacred Heart Medical CenterโMedical Arts Building. The session aimed to strengthen the competencies of ๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฌ ๐จ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฒ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ง๐ญ-๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ฌ across the University, including the Sacred Heart Medical Center, enabling them to deliver meaningful interactions and memorable stakeholder experiences.
On behalf of the Vice President for Administration, ๐๐ญ๐ญ๐ฒ. ๐๐ก๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ก ๐๐ณ๐๐ง๐ง๐ ๐. ๐๐๐ซ๐๐๐, HRD Director ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ ๐. ๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐ณ delivered the opening remarks. Atty. Merced's message emphasized that customer satisfaction is shaped not only by the quality of service provided but also by the soft skills and attitudes demonstrated by employees. The message also highlighted the importance of workplace etiquette in fostering respect, collaboration, and professionalism, noting that these values strengthen the University's culture and support its commitment to ๐๐ช๐ด๐ด๐ช๐ฐ ๐ฆ๐ต ๐๐น๐ค๐ฆ๐ญ๐ญ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต๐ช๐ข.
The resource speaker, School of Accountancy, Management, Computing and Information Studies (SAMCIS) Dean ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐. ๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐รฑ๐, ๐๐ก๐, underscored the importance of treating every stakeholder with fairness, respect, and empathy. She highlighted that exceptional stakeholder experiences are built on six key elements of service excellence: service quality, communication, empathy, convenience, trust, and consistency. Through practical and relatable scenarios, she demonstrated how these principles can be applied in everyday workplace interactions, fostering a service culture that creates lasting and meaningful impressions.
In her closing message, Assistant HRD Director ๐๐๐๐ง ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ง ๐. ๐๐๐ข๐ฆ๐, reaffirmed the importance of delivering equitable, respectful, and people-centered service. She encouraged participants to apply the insights gained from the session in their daily interactions, emphasizing that every encounterโwhether in academic, administrative, or healthcare settingsโcontributes to a positive stakeholder experience and reflects the institutionโs commitment to service excellence.
