So timely and freeing to know that we are stewards only. Our kids belong to God. It takes a lot of humility to do sacred stewardship. It removes the burden of perfection from us. As we follow God, we model it to our kids... It is still their decision to love and obey Him. The future of our child is in God's hands.Their obedience to Him matters. My role as a Mom is to guide, not control... To remind, not to force... And to bless them by fighting for them in prayers. 💯🙏🏼

One of the biggest shifts that helped me as a parent was realizing my kids aren’t mine in the way I thought they were.

I mean, yes, God’s entrusted them to me. I’m responsible. I’m shaping, guiding, protecting. All of that’s real. But at the end of the day… they belong to Him.

And when you really let that sink in, it changes the pressure you carry.

Because if they’re ‘yours’ in an ultimate sense, then everything rides on you. Their future, their faith, their success. And that can quietly turn parenting into a project where you’re trying to get everything just right.

But if they’re God’s… now you’re a steward.

And a steward asks a different question. Not, "How do I make this child turn out a certain way?" but "God, what are You doing in their life, and how do I come alongside You?"

It moves you from control to trust.
From performance to relationship.
From anxiety… to dependence.

And honestly, it also frees your kids. Because they’re not carrying the weight of your expectations in the same way. They get space to become who God uniquely made them to be.

Your role becomes faithfulness, not perfection.

You show up. You love well. You model what it looks like to walk with God. You apologize when you blow it. And you keep putting them back into His hands, over and over again.

That’s sacred stewardship.

It’s actually a lot more freeing than trying to be a perfect parent.
