Sharing my 3 biggest takeaways that wedding & event businesses should really pay attention to:

1. Trust is built even before the inquiry

your overall branding

So make sure:

• your branding is consistent
• your content reflects your quality
• your reviews are visible

First impressions don’t start when they inquire.
It starts way before that.

2. Start using the most underused free marketing tool: Google Business Profile (GBP)

A lot of businesses overlook this.
But it’s one of the easiest ways to get discovered.

Make sure to:
• refine your business description
• optimize your categories and services
• cross-post your social media content
• verify your address and service areas
Simple, but powerful when done right.

3. Make Google Reviews part of your client offboarding process

Don’t leave it to chance.
Ask at the right time.
Make it part of your workflow.

Because:
• reviews build trust
• reviews influence decisions
• reviews help you get found

Sometimes it’s not about doing more.

It’s about fixing the small things
that quietly affect your bookings.

One thing I see a lot with wedding and event business owners:

They’re good at everything…
so they end up doing everything.

At first, it feels like control.

I’ve learned that growth is not about doing more.

It’s about choosing better:
what to keep
what to delegate
what to let go of

You don’t have to do everything alone to build something successful.

Sometimes the smartest move is giving yourself support.

One thing years in weddings and events has really taught me is this:

We always think we still have time.

→ Time for the family dinner.
→ Time for the quick trip.
→ Time to visit our parents.
→ Time to rest after the next project.
→ Time to do the things we say matter.

But after witnessing so many milestone moments, I’ve learned how precious ordinary days really are.

Sometimes the most meaningful parts of life are the simple things we almost delay because work feels urgent.

This season of life, I’m learning to build businesses that create more room for family, presence, and peace, not less.

✨ 2025 changed the way wedding and event vendors work.

This year pushed the industry to move faster, think smarter, and operate more intentionally. Clients expected quicker replies, clearer processes, and a smoother overall experience. Vendors felt the pressure of fuller calendars, tighter timelines, and higher emotional expectations.

What worked in previous years started to feel heavy.
Manual workflows slowed things down.
Inconsistent communication created stress.
Doing everything alone became unsustainable.

The vendors who adapted best in 2025 did a few key things differently:
~ They streamlined their client journey
~ They leaned into digital tools and automation
~ They improved response time without working longer hours
~ They prioritised client experience as much as the final output
~ They built systems that supported growth, not burnout

2025 showed us that talent alone is no longer enough. Structure, clarity, and intention now matter just as much.

The takeaway for moving forward?
Adapt early. Simplify often. Build systems that make your business easier to run, not harder.
