Project Name: Taupe House
Type: Residential Building Renovation
Floor Area: ±1,163.50 sqm
Location: Beverly Hills, Lahug, Cebu City

Taupe House is an exercise in restraint where a monochromatic palette allows form, proportion, and composition to take focus.

The project builds upon an existing structure, retaining its core while introducing new roof elements and canopies that redefine its silhouette. Through a deliberate layering of planes and volumes, the residence is transformed into a more cohesive and grounded architectural composition.

Additions including a third floor, roof deck, and garage expand the home’s functionality, carefully integrated to maintain continuity between old and new.

A deliberate evolution, subtle, precise, and grounded.

Zubu is currently looking for a Facilities Manager and a Quantity Surveyor to join us.

As a Facilities Manager, you’ll take the lead in managing operations, renovations, and overall property performance, from site inspections and preventive maintenance to contractor coordination, compliance, budgeting, and space optimization.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in cost planning and control as well as preparing detailed estimates and BOQs, performing quantity take-offs, reviewing drawings, analyzing market rates, supporting tenders, and evaluating design changes to ensure accuracy and value.

We’re looking for professionals who are proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to take ownership. But more than that, we offer an environment where you can learn continuously, grow your expertise, and meaningfully contribute to impactful projects.

Designed for a special flagship brand, the project is organized into two interconnected volumes. The primary mass is defined by a disciplined vertical façade system that provides solar control while establishing a strong architectural identity along the street. The secondary volume is more transparent and grounded, shaping the entry sequence and strengthening the public interface.

A covered connection links the building to the existing structure allowing clear circulation and operational continuity.

The architecture is intentionally restrained with clean lines, controlled proportions, and a consistent material palette. Form is driven by climate response, structure, and clarity of movement. It is a statement piece that is direct, functional, and distinct.
