With the partnership between the Year 12A students, batch of S.Y 2015-2016, and their beneficiary/business partner, Ma. Originally called, Thread & Needle, the business was formed under the GOG, or Gift of Gold Project, wherein classes starting from Year 7 (5th Grade) up until Year 12 (Senior year) are tasked with putting up their own business, to expose themselves to the world of business, and to

help uplift the life of their assigned beneficiary; the said beneficiary is living in a state of poverty. The goal of the Project is to kick-start the business as a partnership between the students, and the beneficiary. However, as Year 12 comes, they will surrender the business at the end of the school year, and make the business the beneficiary's alone. Lucie's Thread & Needle comes from a fusion between LUZ, the beneficiary's first name, and CIE, the name of the school.
