Starting our new year with our active participation to the Alumni Meet 2026. Here’s a sneak peak of our alumni representatives Mrs. Alma Lisay Sandig and Ms. Angelica Belarmino on their first day. It is a three-day conference where all alumni associations and alumni-led organizations gather together to plan for the alumni collaborations, projects and innovations of the year. Exciting year ahead as we are to celebrate our alumni community’s 10th Year anniversary. Tune in! 😊

We’re excited to conclude the 35th Celebration of Library and Information Science Month with “Readers in Focus: A Book Talk Showcase and Panel Discussion.” Featuring inspiring storytellers and passionate readers who will share their journeys, insights, and the power of books in their lives.

Calling all Filipino youth leaders! 🚀 Apply now for the YSEALI Cyberbayanihan Summit 2025 happening on October 17–19, 2025 in Davao City!

The Summit is a fully funded three-day fellowship that equips youth leaders with essential cybersecurity knowledge and skills to combat online threats such as scams, identity theft, misinformation, and cyberbullying. Participants will engage in peer-to-peer learning, develop strategies to promote digital safety, and collaborate on initiatives to build a safer and more resilient online community.

This year’s summit is also part of the celebration of Younified 2025, marking the 10th anniversary of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI)—a decade of empowering young leaders across ASEAN to drive positive change. It also contributes to the global commemoration of America250, the 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026, reflecting shared values of democracy, collaboration, and youth leadership that unite our nations.

✅ Fully funded: roundtrip flights (city-to-Davao), food, and accommodations
ℹ️ Note: Transportation from home to airport and from Davao airport to hotel is not covered. However, we will do our best to arrange pick-up support where possible.

USGAA PG participates 2025 U.S.-PH Alumni Meet 🇺🇸🇵🇭

The U.S. Government Alumni Association - Panay and Guimaras Chapter participated in the 2025 US-PH Alumni Meet last February 7-10, 2025 in Pasay City, NCR. The association was represented by Angelica Belarmino (YSEALI AFP Alumna 2015, University of Nebraska Omaha), Interim Vice President for Internal Affairs, and Jose Marie Eslopor (YSEALI AFP Alumnus, 2022, East-West Center, Hawai'i), Interim Asst. Vice President for External Affairs. They were joined by 47 other representatives from other regional-based and program-based U.S. Exchange Programs in the Philippines and were able to discuss experiences including best practices and challenges within the respective chapters and also in collaborative activities.

This year's alumni meet was highlighted by the presentation of the pioneering National Alumni Survey results, which served as the foundation for shaping both a national and regional alumni agenda aimed at improving platforms for collaborations.

This alumni meet reaffirms the network's commitment towards promoting as in achieving impactful and meaningful development for the people.
