Lumalala ang pangamba ng publiko, lalo na ng mga magulang, sa online abuse at OSAEC (Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children) sa mga platforms tulad ng Roblox.

Sa ilalim ng direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., layunin ng pamahalaan na palakasin ang seguridad sa digital platforms upang protektado ang bawat kabataang Pilipino.

Sa pulong ng DICT, CICC, Roblox, law enforcement, at private sector nitong Abril 7, 2026, nilinaw ng DICT at CICC na hindi mababan ang Roblox ngayong linggo dahil pumayag sila sa safety-by-design measures. Naka-off na din ang chat at payments by default, at para sa mga batang below 9 years old, walang nang chat access.

Nilatag at ipinaliwanag ng Roblox ang mas mahigpit na safeguards sa kanilang platform, kabilang ang mas strikto na monitoring, reporting mechanisms, at age-appropriate content controls. Bukod dito, sa susunod na linggo, ila-launch nila ang age-based content at age-based parental controls, kasabay ng information campaign para gabayan ang mga magulang sa paggamit ng mga bagong features.

Mga hakbang para sa magulang: Gamitin ang Parental Controls upang masubaybayan at maprotektahan ang digital experience ng anak:

โ€ข Pagtatakda ng limitasyon sa pagbili
โ€ข Pag-block ng hindi angkop na experiences
โ€ข Pagpili ng content na angkop sa edad

Digital safety ay responsibilidad ng platform, gobyerno, at bawat pamilya. Sama-sama nating bantayan at protektahan ang kabataang Pilipino sa online space.
