Access to renewable energy takes another step forward as the first member of CESLA Multipurpose Cooperative (CESLA MPC) availed its Green Loan (Solar Loan) Program with a 6kwp Hybrid Solar PV System installed at their residence, marking a milestone in the cooperative’s solar financing initiative.

Through this partnership, CESLA MPC offers the solar loan program to its member-owners, while Renewable Energy Co-operatives of the Philippines (RECO-OP) serves as the solar energy provider, supplying and installing the system. This collaboration helps make solar power more accessible to households and supports sustainable energy use.

RECO-OP continues to advance renewable energy solutions through cooperative partnerships, contributing to more energy-resilient and sustainable communities.

We’re proud to recognize Mambajao Multi-Purpose Cooperative as the first cooperative with its own TESDA-trained and NC II-certified Solar PV Installers, ready to support the solar energy needs of their fellow members.

Together with RECO-OP, this initiative goes beyond renewable energy. These trained installers are members of the cooperative and form part of its livelihood and education programs—creating opportunities for skills development, sustainable income, and community empowerment.

More importantly, this reflects the active practice of the 5th Cooperative Principle: Education, Training and Information, by investing in the knowledge and skills of its members and equipping them to contribute to the cooperative and its community.
