City of Dasmariñas STATE OF CALAMITY
In light of the recent onslaught of Typhoons Emong and Dante, and the continued increase in the volume of rainfall that has caused widespread flooding, soil erosion, and landslides in several barangays, the City Government of Dasmariñas officially declares a State of Calamity effective immediately.
This declaration is made in accordance with Republic Act No. 10121, also known as the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010, and upon the recommendation of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC).
The declaration of a State of Calamity will allow the city government to:
(1) Access emergency funds for disaster response and relief operarions;
(2) Expedite procurement of goods and services needed for emergency response and recovery; and
(3) Mobilize necessary resources and personnel to assist affected communities and prevent further loss of life and property.
We urge all Dasmarineños to remain vigilant, follow official advisories, and cooperate with local authorities and emergency responders. Your safety is our top priority.
