But how often do we ask Him to close the ones that would harm us?

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says:

كُتِبَ عَلَيْکُمُ الْقِتَا لُ وَهُوَ كُرْهٌ لَّـكُمْ ۚ وَعَسٰۤى اَنْ تَكْرَهُوْا شَيْــئًا وَّهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّـکُمْ ۚ وَعَسٰۤى اَنْ تُحِبُّوْا شَيْــئًا وَّهُوَ شَرٌّ لَّـكُمْ ۗ وَا للّٰهُ يَعْلَمُ وَاَ نْـتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ"Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you. But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not."(QS. Al-Baqara 2: Verse 216)

What does it mean to work with Iḥsān?

The third session of the Iḥsān Formation Training for Cohort B brought us into a deeper reflection on excellence, accountability, and the standard we hold ourselves to when no one is watching.

From our discussion, we were reminded that Iḥsān is not about perfection. It is about striving to do what is right with excellence, sincerity, and the awareness that Allah Azzawajal sees us.

We explored the moments when our commitment to excellence is tested:
→ When doing the minimum would be enough.
→ When we notice an inefficiency that is not technically our responsibility.
→ When feedback challenges the way we work.

These moments reveal more than our skills.
They reveal how we understand responsibility.
Iḥsān means going beyond the minimum when there is room to improve.

It means taking initiative instead of waiting to be told.
It means receiving feedback without defensiveness and using it to become better.

Because Iḥsān exists even when nobody compliments it.
It is choosing excellence when recognition is not guaranteed.

At Zidra Assist, we are not only building people who can deliver good work. We are building people who understand that the quality of their work is also part of the responsibility entrusted to them.

And perhaps the real question is not, “Did I do enough?”

It is: “Did I do it with Iḥsān?”

At Zidra Assist, we do not aim to be just enough.

We aim to be Amānah. Ikhlās. Iḥsān.

May Allah AzzaWajal grant us the ability to pursue excellence with sincere intentions, accept our efforts, and make our work a means of reaching Jannatul Firdaus. Aāmeen.

The second session of the Amānah Formation Training for Cohort B brought us into something quieter, yet harder to hold onto: Ikhlās.

From 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM on 1st September 2026, we gathered for an evening of reflection on sincerity, and what it really means to do good without needing anyone to see it.

Talents were tested to:
→ Reflect on tasks no one else witnessed.
→ Recognise where riya (showing off) quietly enters their work.
→ Respond to client situations with the right intention, not just the right words.

Because it is easy to look sincere. But what does the heart hold when there is no praise waiting?

Ikhlās is choosing to give your best even when no one is measuring it. It is doing the work fully, not for approval, not for recognition, but because it has been entrusted to you, and Allah Azzawajal sees it regardless.

Ikhlās shows up in many forms. It is giving full effort to tasks no one will ever know about. It is checking, again and again, why we are really doing what we do. It is choosing genuine care over simply looking professional, and valuing steady, honest effort over the occasional impressive one.

This is why Ikhlās must be revisited constantly. It is not a switch we turn on once. Every task is a chance to return to the right intention, to reset with a simple Bismillah before we begin.

Because it is not the size of the deed that matters most to Allah.
It is the sincerity behind it.

This is the kind of character we want to build at Zidra Assist. Not people who perform for approval, but people who serve with a sincere heart, whether seen or unseen.

May Allah Azzawajal accept our deeds and purify our intentions behind them.

Day 2: Ikhlās.
A reminder that the most beloved deeds to Allah are not the loudest, but the most sincere.

What does it mean to carry an Amānah?

The first session of the Amānah Formation Training for Cohort B brought us back to something simple, yet deeply important: everything we do is an Amānah.

From 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM on 31st August of 2026, we gathered with our esteemed speaker, Raslina Yahya, for an evening of reflection, learning, and reminders about what it truly means to carry an Amānah.

Talents were tested to:
→ Think for a limited time.
→ Handle client situations with both integrity & professionalism.
→ Make decisions under pressure.

Because it is easy to do things well when people are watching. But what happens when no one is?

Amānah is choosing to do what is right even in the moments that no one sees. It is being honest in our work, responsible with what is entrusted to us, and sincere in the things we do, knowing that our actions are never hidden from Allah Azzawajal.

Amānah takes different forms, including:

• Trust with Allāh Azzawajal: Remembering that we are accountable to Him in everything we do.
• Trust with oneself: Being true to our values & taking responsibility for our own actions.
• Trust with others: Honouring the trust, commitments, & responsibilities given to us.
• Trust of knowledge: Using what we learn responsibly & putting beneficial knowledge into practice.
• Trust of authority: Carrying every responsibility or position entrusted to us with integrity & justice.

This is why Amānah must never be treated lightly. Every trust carries a responsibility, and every responsibility reflects our character. When we understand the importance of Amānah, we become more mindful of how we speak, decide, work, and carry what has been entrusted to us.

Because before we are accountable to people, we are accountable to Allah.

This is the kind of character we want to build at Zidra Assist. Not simply people who can complete a task, but people who understand the weight of what has been entrusted to them.

May Allah Azzawajal make us people who honour every Amānah, whether it is seen by others or known only to Him.
