CALLING FOR APPLICANTS: FREE TRAINING FOR PWDs!
The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region 11 through its digitaljobsPH Program and in partnership with Virtualahan, Inc., is offering an ONLINE JOB SKILLS TRAINING or International Services and Technical skills for 'Persons With Disabilities (PWD)' from Region XI. This FREE training will provide you ICT technical skills to increase hireability and eventually land a job in the field of ICT.
Virtualahan, Inc. is a social enterprise that breaks down employment barriers for PWD using technology by providing the digital skills to work as online service providers in the outsourcing industry. They also work towards an inclusive, productive, sustainable, and meaningful workplace that is free from discrimination.
Qualifications:
- Currently unemployed or underemployed
- Atleast 18 years of age and above
- Valid PWD ID and/or medical abstract signed by a licensed
physician
- Has a government-issued ID
- Can commit to ten weeks of training and additional employment
support for two months
- Good problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Good English comprehension
- A passion for learning
- A self-starter and independent
- Formal Picture for your Student Profile
- A positive attitude and willingness to give back to the community
- A working computer preferably at least Intel i3 Processor with 8gb
RAM minimum(ideally 16gb), Windows 10 and up for the
Operating System.
- Stable internet connection preferably at least 10 Mbps
- Quiet working station/home office
- A Letter of Intent explaining your situation
