June 12, 2026 | Reaching the Farthest Families: No Mountain Too High β›°οΈπŸ“¦

While recovery continues in the city, the 74th MARBn headed deep into the mountains of GenSan today. Our teams successfully reached the isolated upland areas of Barangay San Jose to deliver much-needed aid.

Today, we reached:

Sitio Atbag – 60 families
Purok Blagan – 50 families
Sitio Blala – 85 families

These communities are far away and have been hit very hard by the recent tremors.
Thanks to the great kindness of private citizens, our Bn was able to deliver rice, clean water, and food packs directly to the families here.🀝

A big thank you to Mercado Racing! Your donation was a huge help for today's relief drive.

We also extend our deepest gratitude to ADV Juansiksty SOX led by their President, John Jay Pontino, and the Team Perte Trail Riders led by their Vice President, Eddie Pambaya Jr., for their invaluable assistance and generous donations. Your incredible support and off-road capability provided a massive boost to our logistics, helping us bring critical relief straight to these mountain communities.

Seeing the relief on the parents' faces and the smiles on the children made all the hard work worth it. πŸ‡΅πŸ‡β€οΈ

⚠️ But our job is not done. As we went higher up the mountain, we saw that many roads are completely blocked by landslides. This means there are still families farther up who are cut off and waiting for help.

We reached Brgy. San Jose today, but we cannot leave the others behind.

We Need Your Help β€” Please Donate πŸš¨πŸ«±πŸΌβ€πŸ«²πŸΌ
The 74th MARBn is ready to climb and clear the paths to reach everyone, but we need supplies to bring to them. We are asking our community, friends, and partners: please help us make sure these families are not forgotten.

πŸ“¦ Items We Need Most: Rice, canned goods, bottled water, infant milk, and easy-to-cook meals.

πŸ“© How You Can Help: Every single pack helps. If you want to drop off donations or help our Bn logistics team, please send us a direct message here.

Let’s help those who are cut off. Together, through bayanihan, we can make sure no family is left behind.

June 10, 2026 | 14:00H | When the taps ran dry, the Reserve moved in.

Following the heavy tremors that shook our city, a distress call came in from the residents of Hicban Subdivision, Barangay Lagao. Due to structural water disruptions caused by the earthquake, families were left completely stranded without a single drop of potable drinking water.

We don't sit back and wait for paperwork when our people are thirsty.

CPO Felix Pontino Jr. PN(Res) immediately deployed to the area to execute a rapid, boots-on-the-ground assessment. Meeting face-to-face with the anxious residents, he confirmed the critical shortage. He didn’t just log the problem; he immediately went hunting for a solution.

Sourcing a secure supply of clean, filtered drinking water, CPO Pontino coordinated the logistics and successfully mounted a tactical distribution run right into the heart of the affected subdivision.

Because of that quick, decisive response, 60 families who were left vulnerable in the wake of the disaster now have clean water on their tables.

This is the absolute standard of the 74th MARBn. We don’t just sail the bay; we walk your streets, verify your struggles, and protect your homes. No hesitation. No excuses.

We Need Your Help β€” Please Donate Water πŸš¨πŸ’§
The 74th MARBn will keep moving to help, but we need more supply to sustain these families. We are appealing to our community, private donors, and local businesses to help us fill the gap.

πŸ’§ What We Need Most: Bottled drinking water, and 5-gallon water containers.

πŸ“ Where to Go: You can bring your donations directly to Hicban Subdivision, Barangay Lagao, or send us a direct message here if you need help with coordination or entry.

Whenever our city calls, we will answer. Let's stand together and make sure no household goes thirsty.

June 10, 2026 | 🌊 When the roads ran out, we took to the sea.

While the ground operations continued across our hit city of General Santos City, another team quietly prepared a vessel and headed out. We didn't move for ourselves; we moved for the people of Glan, Sarangani, who were cut off and waiting.

The DSWD trusting us with 700 cases of urgent relief food packs, we loaded the deck. We added 4 heavy drums of fuel to make sure Glan’s emergency responders could keep their rescue vehicles and generators running. And we pushed out into the bay.

Because the PB Pacific Rose could not safely dock, the success of this mission came down to seamless teamwork and true bayanihan. We want to extend our highest gratitude to the Glan LGU, PNP, and the Philippine Coast Guard for meeting us out on the water.

A special salute goes out to the local bangka operators and fisherfolk of Glan. When our larger vessel couldn't reach the shore, these brave local operators braved the swells, coming alongside us to help split the load. Through a grueling water-to-water transfer, they ferried those 700 food packs and heavy fuel drums straight to the beach.

Thanks to everyone's swift coordination and brave ex*****on, every single case was dropped. Every gallon of fuel was delivered.

But when the mission was finished, we didn't return empty. Forty seven individualsβ€”adults and childrenβ€”made the journey back to General Santos City aboard the PB Pacific Rose. They were tired, shaken by the major aftershocks, but they are now safe.

We do it because when our people are vulnerable, the 74th MARBn stands as a shield. When there is a hand to lend, we stretch it out. No excuses. No hesitation.

This is reserve service. It is quiet, it is exhausting, but seeing those families step onto the GenSan pier safe and sound makes every single second worth it.

🚨 June 8, 2026 | DISASTER RESPONSE SITUATION REPORT: MAGNITUDE 7.8 EARTHQUAKE IN GENERAL SANTOS CITY 🚨

The 74th Marine Affiliate Reserve Battalion (MARBn) successfully completed emergency response and relief operations following the devastating magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck General Santos City on June 8, 2026.

πŸ“ Mission Deployment: Savemore Calumpang Branch
Our units immediately deployed to the Savemore Calumpang branch, which suffered severe structural damage during the tremor.

We are highly relieved to report that the vast majority of the establishment's employees successfully evacuated the building before major structural failures occurred.

🀝 Completed Relief & Assistance Actions
Following initial search and perimeter securing, your 74th MARBn personnel executed and concluded the following support operations on-site:

Traffic Management: Facilitated crucial traffic management around the affected zone to ensure a clear pathway for primary emergency and rescue vehicles.

Frontline Support: Distributed vital drinking water and snacks to the first responders working tirelessly on the ground.

Welfare Assistance: Provided meals and immediate comfort to the displaced and shaken Savemore employees stranded at the scene.

Hatid Operations: Our personnel volunteered to safely transport the stranded employees back to their families, ensuring they arrived home securely in Katangawan, Baluan, Malakas, and Marbel.

Your 74th MARB stands ready to mobilize whenever our city calls. We pray for the continuous safety and swift recovery of our community. Stay safe, Generals! πŸ‡΅πŸ‡πŸ¦

Building the Future, Hand-in-Hand: 74th MARBn in the Community πŸ‡΅πŸ‡βš“οΈ

True service isn’t just about standing guard. It’s about rolling up our sleeves and building up the communities we love.

From June 1 to June 5, the men and women of the 74th Marine Affiliated Reserve Battalion took to the field for Brigada Eskwela 2026 across General Santos City. For five straight days, our reservists traded their usual routines for paintbrushes, hammers, and brooms, working side-by-side with teachers, parents, and local leaders to prepare a safer, brighter space for our youth.

Every school we visited reminded us why we wear the uniform: for the future of our children.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the faculty, staff, and barangay officials who welcomed our troops with open arms at every single stop:

πŸ“ June 1 | Jose Divinagracia Elementary School (Brgy. Bula)
πŸ“ June 2 | Dangan Elementary School (Sitio Calatao, Brgy. Tambler)
πŸ“ June 3 | Upper Labay Elementary School (Brgy. Upper Labay)
πŸ“ June 4 | Batomelong Elementary School (Brgy. Batomelong)
πŸ“ June 5 | Jose R. Lansang Elementary School (Velayo Road, Brgy. Lagao)

When the community calls, the 74th MARBn answers. Clear minds, clean classrooms, and a steadfast commitment to the next generation of leaders and heroes here in GenSan.
