A female cadet from Lipa City, Batangas has emerged as the valedictorian of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Talang Dangal” Class of 2026, which will graduate on May 16.
Cadet First Class Christine Kaye Demisana Librada, 23, will lead the 207-member graduating class after excelling in academics, military aptitude, leadership and character evaluation. She belongs to Delta Company and will join the Philippine Army after graduation.
Librada is the daughter of a retired military officer and previously studied Bachelor of Science in Psychology at De La Salle University before entering the PMA. She is originally from Lipa City.
As class valedictorian, Librada will receive several major awards, including the Presidential Saber, the Philippine Army Saber, the Joint United States Military Assistance Group Award, and the Australian Defense Best Overall Performance Award.
During the presentation of the top graduating cadets in Baguio City, Librada reflected on the challenges and leadership training inside the academy.
“Learning all of these from the academy is such a blessing,” she said, noting that cadets are trained to lead both small units and the entire Corps of Cadets of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
The PMA “Talang Dangal” Class of 2026 is composed of 142 male and 65 female cadets. Notably, five women made it to the Top 10 of the graduating class.
