The administration, WIT Alumni Association, Inc., faculty, and staff members of the Western Institute of Technology wish to extend their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of Hon. Engr. Elmer “Toto” C. Untaran, Municipal Mayor of San Jose de Buenavista, Antique, and a valued alumnus of WIT Civil Engineering, class of 1980.

In this moment of profound loss, we come together to express our deepest sympathies, sharing in the sorrow felt by the Untaran family and the people of San Jose de Buenavista, Antique. We stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time, offering our thoughts, prayers, and support as they navigate their grief.

Mayor Elmer Untaran’s recognition at the Western Institute of Technology as an Outstanding Alumnus of 2019 will never be forgotten. His leadership, dedication, and compassion have left an indelible mark on the institution and the lives of his constituents.

As we mourn the passing of Mayor Elmer, we collectively honor his memory and the legacy he leaves behind. Let us join together in prayer for the eternal repose of Engr. Elmer “Toto” C. Untaran's soul. May his spirit find eternal peace, and may cherished memories of him bring comfort and strength to those who knew and loved him.
