Best Case and Worst Case Scenarios
Most plans quietly assume an average future. Reality rarely cooperates.
Once the mega trends are scanned, the Strategic Thinking Process asks leaders to synthesize them into two pictures from the organization's own perspective: the best case and the worst case you could face over the next several years.
This is not forecasting and it is not pessimism. It lets you position the business to capture the upside and prepare to withstand the downside. A strategy tested against both extremes holds up far better than one built for the middle.
The discussion alone often surfaces risks and openings the team had never named.
Could your leadership team describe your best case and worst case five years out, and agree on them?
