August 20,2026 || Skills Enhancement | Confined Space Rescue.

Legazpi SRF personnel conducted confined space rescue skills enhancement using a Rescue Tripod, strengthening technical skills. Train for the Unseen, Save with Confidence coordination, and operational readiness.

Under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐎 𝐅 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director, and direct supervision of 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐏 𝐌𝐈𝐑𝐀𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐑, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Provincial Fire Marshal, Albay, headed by 𝐅𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐌𝐂 𝐊𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐍 𝐓 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐒, Acting City Fire Marshal, SRF Legazpi City conducted search and rescue operations. On or about 11 1210H August 2026, Legazpi City Fire Station received information from Legazpi City CDRRMO regarding to a missing individual from Banquerohan Resettlement Site, Brgy. 66 - Banquerohan Legazpi City reportedly missing since August 10 who went fishing and failed to return since then. The Legazpi City Fire Station immediately dispatch the duty SRF team to response in the incident.

At 1330H the SRF Legazpi City coordinated to Legazpi City CDRRMO,Integrated Coastal Resource Management Unit ( ICRMU) and Philippine Coast Guard to discuss regarding the alleged missing fisherman and to prepare for the search and rescue operation. Later on the Legazpi City SRF personnel joined the ICRMU Legazpi City composed by FO2 Vergara and FO2 Regondola to conduct water search and rescue in the viscinity of Barangay Banquerohan Legazpi City and nearby barangays. At 1515H the team proceed to the location utilizing the ICRMU rescue boat and their personnel..
