History Repeats Itself
Ninoy Aquino was once a friend and a brother of Ferdinand Marcos Sr. in the fraternity. Ninoy traveled to the United States while seeking medical attention (Marcos loyalists claimed that he went to the U.S. to escape arrest under Marcos Administration). Upon his return to the Philippines, he was shot down at NAIA airport, with allegations that the mastermind behind the assassination was none other than Ferdinand Marcos Sr. himself.
Similarly, President Rodrigo Duterte was once a friend and ally of Ferdinand Marcos Jr in uniteam. Duterte traveled to Hong Kong for a PDP-Laban rally and later returned to the Philippines seeking medical attention (while Leila De Lima alleged that Duterte fled to Hongkong to avoid a warrant of Arrest from the ICC). Upon his return, no one knew which airport Duterte would land at, but a traitor disclosed his whereabouts that he will land at NAIA, where he was unexpectedly and forcibly arrested under the direct command of Ferdinand Marcos Jr. himself.
