Kapag Busog, Huwag Matulog

Huwag matulog ng busog. Baka ikaw ay magkasakit. Dapat sana ay huwag nang kumain kapag lampas ng alas-7 ng gabi. Para may panahon ang tiyan na tunawin ang iyong kinain.
Mahihirapan ang trabaho ng ating tiyan, atay, lapay (pancreas) at puso dahil sa pagtulog habang busog. Mas sanay gumana ang organo ng katawan kapag tayo ay gising. Kapag natulog na, parang tinatamad din sila magtrabaho. May tinatawag na “circadian rhythm” ang katawan sa pagtunaw ng pagkain.
Posibleng mangyari sa pagtulog ng busog:
1. Kapag lagi kang busog, malamang ay bibigat ang iyong timbang at lalapad ang iyong baywang.
2. Sasakit ang tiyan dahil sa gastric reflux (GERD). Kapag humiga ka nang busog, posibleng umakyat ang iyong kinain sa esophagus. Maiirita ito at mahapdi ang pakiramdam.
3. Kakabog ang dibdib dahil sa palpitasyon. Kapag busog o mahangin ang tiyan, puwedeng maapektuhan ang vagus nerve at magdulot ng palpitasyon. Mapapansin mo na madalas mangyari ito kapag ikaw ay busog o stressed.
4. Posible magdulot ng stroke ayon sa isang pag-aaral.
5. Posible mamaga ang pancreas o lapay. Ang acute pancreatitis ay dulot ng sobrang pag-inom ng alak at pagkakaroon ng gallstones. May nagsasabi na ang pagkain ng sobrang matataba at matatamis ay puwedeng makasira din sa lapay. Mabuti na hinay-hinay sa pagkain, at umiwas na lang sa pag-inom ng alak.

1. Huwag magpakabusog. Kumain ng 5-6 na beses sa isang araw, pero pakonti-konti lang. Ang isang saging, mansanas o pan-de-sal ay puwedeng pang-meriyenda na. Sa ganitong paraan, dahan-dahan ang pagpasok ng nutrisyon sa katawan. Mas maginhawa ito sa mga organo ng ating katawan.
2. Maghintay ng 3 oras pagkatapos kumain sa gabi bago matulog. Puwede tumayo o maglakad ng 10-15 minuto para matulungan ang pagtunaw ng pagkain sa tiyan. May tulong ang “gravity” para bumaba ang ating kinain. Huwag agad umupo o matulog.
