The influx of foreign investment from Korea and China, especially in the Pampanga and New Clark City area, which are based on Angeles and Clark, has been on a sharp rise in recent years in line with development issues in each province and the Duterte administration's national development plans.
However, the general public, which lacks extra funds in addition to the income earned from work, has been alienated from development, value creation and sharing of profits generated in the course of regional development from large-scale investments.
It has been their own league for a long time, led by foreigners who brought development funds and rich people who also have funds or land to share their achievements.
And now, due to the influence of the Corona virus and the Pandemic, countless foreigners, including Koreans and Chinese, have returned to their countries, and investment fever has slowed.
Of course, existing capital is still valid and they will come back, but it will take more time before they can enter and move as freely as before.
And it is not easy to predict when once the wrong timing of investment will be normalized.
