Huge congratulations to our amazing math wizards for bringing pride to SVES at the STEMazing Competition 2026 held at Salvacion Elementary School!

We are thrilled to celebrate our Key Stage 1 team, Emmanuel Kaeden M.Apostol(Grade 3 ACACIA) and Vince Denwell A. Paquiwag (Grade 2 DURIAN), Coach Lynneth Baptista & Cherry Quilla for bringing home the title of CHAMPION! 🥇

We also proudly applaud our Key Stage 2 team, Jaeden Blair Cubio (Grade 6 SPJ- Rizal) and Rieven Jeal Bayot (Grade 5 SPJ - MT. Pinatubo), coach Geralyn Davide for their sharp critical thinking and taking home an impressive 3rd Place finish!

SVES 5th SLAC Session: Strengthening Teachers, Empowering Learners

San Vicente Elementary School (SVES) successfully conducted its 5th School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) Session on August 12, 2026, at the ICT Room, bringing teachers together for an afternoon of professional learning, reflection, and meaningful exchange.

The session featured timely and relevant discussions on Updates on the Reflection Journal/Portfolio by Richelle J.Malumbaga,DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026 on the Guidelines on Ensuring a Safe and Motivating Learning Environment (ESMLE), and the discussion on DO 006 was enriched by the insights of Juliet D. Raganas, Division Guidance Counselor, who emphasized the vital role of teachers in creating a learning environment where learners feel safe, valued, supported, and motivated to learn.

The session also provided an avenue for teachers to reflect on their practices and strengthen their commitment to responsive and learner-centered education. It highlighted that professional growth becomes more meaningful when teachers continuously learn, collaborate, and translate new knowledge into better classroom practices.

To close the session, the School Monitoring and Evaluation Team administered an online evaluation through Microsoft Forms, gathering feedback, insights, and concerns from teacher-participants. The results will serve as a valuable basis for improving succeeding SLAC sessions and ensuring that professional development activities remain relevant, responsive, and impactful.

At SVES, every SLAC is more than a session—it is a step toward becoming better teachers for better learning outcomes.

Beyond Validation: SVES Ready to Raise the Flag for SPJ

“More than a validation—it was a celebration of commitment, collaboration, and the power of young voices.”

San Vicente Elementary School (SVES) proudly marks the successful inspection and validation for the implementation of the Special Program in Journalism (SPJ)—a meaningful milestone that reflects the school’s strong commitment to developing young learners into responsible, ethical, and empowered campus journalists.

The validation became an opportunity for SVES to demonstrate not only its readiness and capacity to implement SPJ but also the collective efforts behind the program from its learning resources, facilities, and journalism activities to the dedicated SPJ teachers, learners, parents, and stakeholders who continue to make the program meaningful and sustainable.

The school extends its deepest appreciation to the DepEd Regional Validators headed by EPS/CLMD, Joeisa Presbitero and Mary Jane Mejorada, EPS QAD Ma.Cristina B. Dionisio and Darly D. Lamentac for their time, expertise, insightful observations, and constructive recommendations. Their guidance has strengthened our resolve to continuously improve and provide our young journalists with meaningful opportunities to learn, write, report, and serve their school and community.

Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to the Schools Division Office, headed by SDS Jinky B.Firman,our EPS/ Journalism Coordinator Maria Perpetua Angelita Suelto, SMME team EPS II Ronmar V. Jayoma, Lea Jane Isleta , PSDS Marissa Y. Manginsay,School Principal Jemima R. Deiparine for their invaluable technical assistance, encouragement, and unwavering support throughout our SPJ journey.

This achievement belongs to all of our education partners,including our school PTA, Kasilak Development Foundation Incorporated, parents, stakeholders, teachers, and learners. Your trust, generosity, cooperation, and commitment have helped build an environment where journalism can thrive.

The successful validation is more than a compliance milestone. It is a testament to SVES’s preparedness, collective commitment, and determination to sustain a meaningful special program in journalism.

SVES Strengthens Teaching Excellence Through the 4th SLAC Session

"Great teachers never stop learning because every lesson learned today becomes a better learning experience for children tomorrow."

In its continuing pursuit of instructional excellence, San Vicente Elementary School (SVES) successfully conducted its 4th School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) Session on July 23, 2026, in the ICT Room. More than a regular meeting, the session became a meaningful gathering where teachers exchanged ideas, strengthened professional practices, and renewed their commitment to quality education.

The program formally opened with the checking of attendance, followed by an inspiring prayer led by Elvie Joy E. Mabanding, setting a reflective and collaborative atmosphere for the afternoon's learning engagement.

Jenelyn B. Ceniza, who served as the moderator. With confidence and enthusiasm guided the participants from one segment to another, keeping the discussions organized, engaging, and focused.

The highlight of the session centered on the Updates on the ILAW Lesson Plan, expertly facilitated by Master Teacher III Lynneth B. Baptista. With clarity and enthusiasm, she discussed the latest developments and important reminders in crafting the ILAW Lesson Plan. Participants actively shared insights, clarified concerns, and explored practical ways of making lesson planning more learner-centered, responsive, and aligned with the Department of Education's standards.
The discussion reminded everyone that an effective lesson plan is more than a document, it is a roadmap that leads learners toward meaningful and lasting learning experiences.

Throughout the session, participants demonstrated active engagement, collaborative spirit, and openness to new ideas. Every exchange of experiences, every question raised, and every insight shared reflected the school's strong culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Beyond lesson planning, the session also underscored the value of teachers' reflection through journal writing.

To maintain quality standards and collect valuable feedback, the entire session was closely monitored by the School Monitoring and Evaluation Team (SMET). Teachers and participants completed their End-Evaluation through an official Microsoft Forms link provided during the activity, ensuring continuous improvement for future learning cell sessions.

To keep the educators energized throughout the productive afternoon, participants enjoyed a delightful snack package.

Indeed, the 4th SLAC Session reaffirmed that professional learning thrives when educators learn from one another. Continuing to build a community of reflective and innovative teachers, every SLAC session becomes another step toward delivering quality, inclusive, and transformative education for every learner.

Together, Educators continue to learn, lead, and inspire because when teachers grow, learners flourish.
