FROM THE ARCHIVES.

Long before Silvershark Studio focused on family and school events, I had the opportunity to photograph one of the country's most colorful cultural festivals. Covering events like this taught me to anticipate moments, work in challenging lighting, and tell stories through photographs.

Whether it's a cultural festival, school activity, corporate gathering, or family celebration, every event deserves to be remembered.

Going through the archives and stumbled upon these photos from a reunion we covered back in 2017.

One of the things I enjoy most about reunion events is seeing how friendships pick up right where they left off. The years may have added a few gray hairs and a few more stories to tell, but the laughter, teasing, and camaraderie remain exactly the same.

Batch '92 came together to reconnect, reminisce, and create new memories with people who shared an important chapter of their lives.

Moments like these remind us that some friendships don't fade with time—they simply wait for the next reunion.

STORY TIME

During the baptism, the big moment finally came… and my lens suddenly decided na magiinarte daw sya. 😭

The actual pouring of water lasted only a few seconds — and of course, THAT was the exact moment my camera chose violence. Pagtingin ko sa screen: malabo and talagang unusable…definitely not client-delivery levels.

After the ceremony, I quietly approached the priest and asked if we could recreate the scene for documentation. He hesitated a bit — understandably. Sacred moments are not something you casually “take two.”

I immediately assured him:
“Father, no need to pour the water again. Hindi po tayo magre-rebaptize. Positioning lang po for the photo.” 😅

Thankfully, the kind priest agreed.

And this became the shot.

Event photography really teaches you composure under pressure. Sometimes the job is not about having perfect conditions — it’s about solving problems respectfully, thinking fast, and doing everything ethically possible to still deliver the moments your clients trusted you to preserve.
