A new chapter of innovation and livelihood empowerment unfolds in Vintar with the successful launching of the Shared Service Facilities for Wearables and Homestyle Products!
This milestone projectβamounting to β±649,500βincludes a range of sewing machines, loom-weaving tools, and specialized equipment aimed at boosting the footwear and homestyle product sectors in the municipality.
In conjunction with the launching ceremony, the graduation of participants who completed the 4-day Technology Development Support Training for the Footwear Project was also held. The training provided essential skills and technical knowledge to enhance local production capabilities and elevate product quality.
The activity was graced by the presence of several esteemed officials whose support underscores the importance of the initiative to the community. In attendance were Mayor Richard A. Degala, whose leadership continues to advance Vintarβs local development efforts; DTI Region 1 Assistant Regional Director Natalia Dalaten, who has been instrumental in strengthening regional MSME programs; and DTI Ilocos Norte Provincial Director Amelia Galvez, who remains committed to providing assistance to local enterprises. Also present was Mr. Edwin CariΓ±o, representing Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative, Ferdinand Alexander Marcos, reaffirming the national governmentβs support for community-based livelihood initiatives, as well as Provincial Administrator Atty. Yvette Convento Leynes, representing Governor Cecilia Araneta-Marcos, whose administration continues to champion inclusive growth and economic opportunities across the province.
This milestone marks a significant step toward empowering local producers and strengthening the municipalityβs position in the wearables and homestyle industry.
