Job Title: Bookkeeper for Trucking Business
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in our trucking business. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. Your goal will be to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting regulations, and support our business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
- Process and reconcile invoices, payments, and bank statements
- Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with management to prepare budgets and forecasts
- Perform month-end and year-end closings
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in the trucking industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- College level or equivalent required; accounting certification or degree preferred
- Must have own equipment
