Here’s a simple breakdown 👇

🔹Percentage Tax (3%)
✔️For non-VAT registered businesses
✔️Usually for those earning ₱3,000,000 and below annually
✔️Computed as 3% of gross sales/receipts
✔️Filed quarterly
🔹VAT (12%)
✔️For VAT-registered businesses
✔️Required if annual sales exceed ₱3,000,000
✔️Computed as 12% of VATable sales, less input VAT
✔️Filed monthly and quarterly

📌Key difference:
Percentage Tax is simpler but has no input tax credits.
VAT is more complex but allows input VAT deductions.

Kapag na-tax map ka ni BIR, may tatlong bagay sila tinitignan sa libro mo or sa books of accounts or bookkeeping requirements:

1. Registered ba yung books of accounts mo?
2. Nag-a-update ka daily?
3. Nasa place of business ba yung books mo?

And from that balances, yun ang gagamitin mo to prepare financial statements.

Yung main goal kasi talaga ng bookkeeping is not just to record yung mga transactions, but yung main objective niya is at the end of the year para makapag prepare ka ng financial statement.

But most importantly, ito kasi yung tool na makakatulong sayo to prepare financial statement.

Kapag meron kang financial statement, magkakaroon kang basis kung talagang kumikita or nalulugi yung negosyo mo.

Yung mga business decisions mo, mas magagawa mo sya tama on how you can make your business more profitable kasi meron kang basis na numbers through financial statements.

I will allow you to access the recordings of my 3-day bookkeeping challenge last Nov 29, 30 & Dec 1.
