Expect an engaging program featuring applicant orientation, pitching and selection briefings, learning sessions, fireside conversations, official pitch presentations, panel evaluation, and onboarding for qualified startups.

Mindoro State University, through the MinSU Innovative Business Incubator for Biosystems Solutions (MinSU i-BIBES) under the Office of Innovation, strengthened its engagement with the local innovation and entrepreneurial community through the Innovation Huddle: A Collaborative Initiative with AGRITEKTURA™ and DTI Oriental Mindoro.
Held on September 29, 2026, at The CRIB HUB in Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, the Innovation Huddle provided a collaborative space where ideas, knowledge, institutional support, and entrepreneurial opportunities could converge. The initiative reflected the shared commitment of MinSU, THE AGRITEKTURA ACADEMY, and partner agencies to help transform promising ideas into practical solutions, improved products, and sustainable enterprises that can create meaningful impact in local communities.

Representing MinSU i-BIBES, Mr. James Gullon and Engr. Jessica Bolaños introduced participants to the innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives of Mindoro State University and presented the opportunities available through the TBI. Central to the discussion was the Pag-Ukob Incubation Program, a structured incubation framework designed to support the development, validation, and commercialization of innovation-driven technologies, products, and services.

Participants were introduced to the different forms of support available throughout the incubation journey, including mentorship, capability building, prototyping, market validation, networking, and market readiness. More than developing a business idea, the program provides innovators with a pathway for identifying real-world problems, strengthening proposed solutions, testing their market potential, and preparing innovations for possible commercialization and broader community adoption.

The session also highlighted the Call for the 3rd Cohort of Incubatees, welcoming students, researchers, faculty members, innovators, entrepreneurs, professionals, and MSMEs with ideas, prototypes, products, services, research outputs, or technologies that respond to actual community and industry needs.

The discussion likewise presented the five innovation tracks supported by the program: Biowaste to New Products, Raw Materials, or Bioenergy; Food Innovation; IoT for Sustainable Communities; Smart Agriculture and Fisheries; and Disaster Resilience and Response Innovation.
These tracks underscore MinSU i-BIBES’ commitment to encouraging innovations that are not only commercially viable but also responsive to the economic, environmental, agricultural, technological, and community challenges of Oriental Mindoro and beyond.

More importantly, the activity highlighted the growing partnership between Mindoro State University and AGRITEKTURA™ in cultivating an entrepreneurial and innovation-driven mindset within the community. By connecting the academe with entrepreneurs, government institutions, industry players, innovators, and local communities, the partnership creates an enabling environment where ideas can be explored, developed, tested, and transformed into solutions with real economic and social value.

Through initiatives such as the Innovation Huddle, MinSU i-BIBES and AGRITEKTURA™ continue to demonstrate that innovation becomes more meaningful when institutions work together—connecting education, industry, government, and community toward a stronger and more inclusive innovation ecosystem in Oriental Mindoro.

The 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗦𝗨 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, through the 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗦𝗨 𝗶-𝗕𝗜𝗕𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿, invites eligible student innovators to explore an exciting opportunity through the 𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗫𝗜 (𝗣𝗦𝗖 𝗫𝗜).

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻?

PSC XI is open to teams composed of:

👥 𝟯 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 — currently enrolled in Senior High School, an undergraduate program, or a technical-vocational training education (TVET) program

🧑‍🏫 𝟭 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿 — the mentor must be employed by the same institution where the student team members are enrolled.

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻.

Teams may participate even while their idea is still at the 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲. What matters is having a clearly defined business idea and the potential to develop it further.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱?

Eligible startup ideas should leverage one or more ICT-related technologies, including:

🔹 Software as a Service (SaaS)
🔹 Internet of Things (IoT)
🔹 Artificial Intelligence (AI)
🔹 Web3
🔹 Blockchain
🔹 Mixed Reality
🔹 Other ICT-related products or services

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴?

Participating in an innovation challenge like this gives student teams an opportunity to develop their ideas, test their concepts, learn from mentors, strengthen their presentation and pitching skills, and gain experience in bringing an idea closer to a viable solution.

Through the 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗦𝗨 𝗶-𝗕𝗜𝗕𝗘𝗦, eligible MinSU teams may also receive guidance and mentorship as they prepare and further develop their ideas.
