The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – San Marcelino Fire Station spearheaded by our 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘙𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘋𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳, 𝗙𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗧 𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗘𝗧𝗘, 𝗗𝗦𝗖, under the supervision of 𝗙𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗝𝗘𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗘 𝗗 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗡, 𝗗𝗦𝗖, 𝗣𝗙𝗠, and with the guidance of 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗡 𝗣 𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗨𝗭𝗔, 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘭 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭, actively provided safety, security, logistical, and emergency response support during the relief operation for residents affected by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and the recent typhoon in San Marcelino, Zambales, held at the Municipal Evacuation Center.

The relief assistance was conducted under the initiative of Senator Lito Lapid through the Regional Office III, providing much-needed support to residents affected by the flooding and other impacts brought about by the Southwest Monsoon and typhoon.

Prior to the activity, personnel of this station participated in the unloading of relief goods at the Municipal Evacuation Center last night, assisting in the proper handling and preparation of relief items for distribution.

During the activity, Senator Lito Lapid personally visited the evacuation center and delivered a simple yet inspiring message to the affected citizens of San Marcelino, expressing his support and encouragement before his departure.

This activity aims to facilitate the safe, orderly, and efficient distribution of relief assistance to affected residents, while providing necessary safety, security, logistical, and emergency response support throughout the operation. It also underscores the collaborative efforts of government agencies and stakeholders in extending immediate assistance and support to communities affected by calamities.

Personnel of this station participated in the Follow the Leader Challenge, where one personnel took the lead and showed the dance moves while everyone else followed along. What started as simple movements turned into a fun and energetic activity filled with laughter, teamwork, and good vibes! 💪😄

This activity aims to promote physical well-being through simple and enjoyable movements, reminding everyone that staying active doesn’t always require complicated routines. Sometimes, a little movement, a lot of fun, and great company are all it takes to boost our energy and brighten our day. 🌟

More importantly, the challenge highlighted the value of being a good follower—knowing when to lead, when to listen, and how to work together toward one rhythm. 🤝

This activity aims to strengthen the preparedness and response capabilities of school personnel, learners, and concerned agencies during active attack incidents; enhance coordination and communication among responders; and promote awareness of appropriate safety and emergency response protocols to help ensure the protection and security of the school community and its students.

BFP SAN MARCELINO IN ACTION: SAFETY AND SUPPORT DURING PRESIDENTIAL RELIEF OPERATION IN STA. FE

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – San Marcelino Fire Station spearheaded by our 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘙𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘋𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳, 𝗙𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗧 𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗘𝗧𝗘, 𝗗𝗦𝗖, under the supervision of 𝗙𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗝𝗘𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗘 𝗗 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗡, 𝗗𝗦𝗖, 𝗣𝗙𝗠, and with the guidance of 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗡 𝗣 𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗨𝗭𝗔, 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘭 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭, actively provided safety, security, logistical, and emergency response support during the relief operation for the affected residents of Barangay Sta. Fe, San Marcelino, Zambales, which was highlighted by the arrival of His Excellency President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr.

Prior to the President’s arrival, BFP personnel participated in the coordination and briefing headed by Hon. Elvis R. Soria, San Marcelino Municipal Mayor together with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and other concerned government agencies to ensure the safe and orderly conduct of the activity.

BFP personnel also proceeded to the San Marcelino Evacuation Center to assist in the loading of relief goods, followed by the unloading and proper handling of the relief supplies at the designated area in Barangay Sta. Fe.

During the presidential visit, BFP personnel provided safety and security assistance, area inspection, crowd management, and emergency response support. Personnel also conducted an ocular inspection of the surroundings to identify potential safety hazards and ensure the safety of the President, government officials, residents, and other individuals present.

A BFP fire truck was also strategically deployed at the Rabanes D**e during the arrival and activities of the President and other high-ranking government officials from Zambales and concerned national government agencies, ensuring immediate fire and emergency response capability throughout the activity.

At around 1115H, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. arrived in Barangay Sta. Fe, accompanied by DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon, DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara, DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, and personnel from the Presidential Security Command (PSC). The President conducted an ocular inspection of the affected areas including the Sta. Fe D**e, Integrated School and Barangay Hall and personally checked on the condition of the affected residents.

The successful conduct of the activity was made possible through the close coordination and unified efforts of the BFP, national government agencies, local government units, and other stakeholders, working together to provide immediate assistance while ensuring the safety and security of everyone involved.

This activity aims to regularly monitor the water levels and conditions of creeks within the municipality, maintain situational awareness during periods of rainfall, and ensure the immediate readiness of personnel to respond to any sudden rise in water levels or other water-related incidents. It also seeks to promote public safety and strengthen the municipality’s preparedness and response capabilities.

Personnel of this station, spearheaded by our 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘙𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘋𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳, 𝗙𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗧 𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗘𝗧𝗘, 𝗗𝗦𝗖, under the supervision of 𝗙𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗝𝗘𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗘 𝗗 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗡, 𝗗𝗦𝗖, 𝗣𝗙𝗠, and with the guidance of 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗡 𝗣 𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗨𝗭𝗔, 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘭 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭, served as the Safety Officer (SO) of the established Incident Management Team (IMT), under the overall direction of the Responsible Officer (RO), Hon. Elvis R. Soria, Municipal Mayor of San Marcelino, during the conduct of the Search, Rescue, and Retrieval Operation following the drowning incident that occurred at Mapanuepe Lake, Brgy. Buhawen, San Marcelino, Zambales.

Prior to the conduct of the operation, BFP personnel conducted safety checks to ensure that all responding personnel were properly equipped with the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and appropriate safety gear for the operation.

The team also coordinated with the concerned agencies and responding personnel to ensure the safe and organized conduct of the search and retrieval efforts.

To this day, through the efforts of the responding agencies and personnel, two (2) out of three (3) missing persons were retrieved.

Search and retrieval operations will continue, weather and safety conditions permitting, until the last missing person is located.

The San Marcelino Fire Station also extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved families during this difficult time.

The Bureau of Fire Protection remains committed to working alongside partner agencies and the local government in the continued search and retrieval efforts.

Elvis R. Soria, Municipal Mayor of San Marcelino, during the conduct of the Search, Rescue, and Retrieval Operation following the drowning incident that occurred at Mapanuepe Lake, Brgy. Buhawen, San Marcelino, Zambales.

Prior to the conduct of the operation, BFP personnel conducted safety checks to ensure that all responding personnel were properly equipped with the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and appropriate safety gear for the operation.

The team also coordinated with the concerned agencies and responding personnel to ensure the safe and organized conduct of the search and retrieval efforts.

Despite the concerted efforts of the responding agencies and personnel, the search and retrieval operation yielded negative results, as the missing persons remained unaccounted for.

Search and retrieval operations will continue, weather and safety conditions permitting, until the missing persons are located.

The San Marcelino Fire Station also extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved families during this difficult time.

The Bureau of Fire Protection remains committed to working alongside partner agencies and the local government in the continued search and retrieval efforts.
