BFP SAN MARCELINO IN ACTION: SAFETY AND SUPPORT DURING PRESIDENTIAL RELIEF OPERATION IN STA. FE
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) โ San Marcelino Fire Station spearheaded by our ๐๐ค๐ต๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ ๐๐ช๐ณ๐ฆ๐ค๐ต๐ฐ๐ณ, ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฃ๐ง ๐๐๐ฅ๐ก๐๐ฅ๐ ๐ง ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ง๐, ๐๐ฆ๐, under the supervision of ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฃ๐ง ๐๐๐๐ก๐ก๐๐ง๐ง๐ ๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ฌ๐๐ก, ๐๐ฆ๐, ๐ฃ๐๐ , and with the guidance of ๐๐๐ก๐ฆ๐ฃ ๐๐๐๐๐ก ๐ฃ ๐๐๐ก๐จ๐ญ๐, ๐๐ค๐ต๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐๐ถ๐ฏ๐ช๐ค๐ช๐ฑ๐ข๐ญ ๐๐ช๐ณ๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐ณ๐ด๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ, actively provided safety, security, logistical, and emergency response support during the relief operation for the affected residents of Barangay Sta. Fe, San Marcelino, Zambales, which was highlighted by the arrival of His Excellency President Ferdinand โBongbongโ R. Marcos Jr.
Prior to the Presidentโs arrival, BFP personnel participated in the coordination and briefing headed by Hon. Elvis R. Soria, San Marcelino Municipal Mayor together with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and other concerned government agencies to ensure the safe and orderly conduct of the activity.
BFP personnel also proceeded to the San Marcelino Evacuation Center to assist in the loading of relief goods, followed by the unloading and proper handling of the relief supplies at the designated area in Barangay Sta. Fe.
During the presidential visit, BFP personnel provided safety and security assistance, area inspection, crowd management, and emergency response support. Personnel also conducted an ocular inspection of the surroundings to identify potential safety hazards and ensure the safety of the President, government officials, residents, and other individuals present.
A BFP fire truck was also strategically deployed at the Rabanes D**e during the arrival and activities of the President and other high-ranking government officials from Zambales and concerned national government agencies, ensuring immediate fire and emergency response capability throughout the activity.
At around 1115H, President Ferdinand โBongbongโ R. Marcos Jr. arrived in Barangay Sta. Fe, accompanied by DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon, DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara, DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, and personnel from the Presidential Security Command (PSC). The President conducted an ocular inspection of the affected areas including the Sta. Fe D**e, Integrated School and Barangay Hall and personally checked on the condition of the affected residents.
The successful conduct of the activity was made possible through the close coordination and unified efforts of the BFP, national government agencies, local government units, and other stakeholders, working together to provide immediate assistance while ensuring the safety and security of everyone involved.
